The SPS/CVS clinics are open to all Springfield Public School families and are taking place a from 2-5PM at meal pick up sites throughout the month of October.?Information about when and where clinics will be held throughout October is?available at:? to pre-register are available on the SPS website under flu shot clinics. Registration is required but every clinic does take walk-ins.According to the?Massachusetts Department of Public Health (Mass DPH), the flu vaccine is critical this year because of COVID-19.?Having a flu vaccine amid the coronavirus pandemic will reduce the overall impact of respiratory illness on the population, protect vulnerable populations from severe illness, and decrease the overall burden on the healthcare system, MASS DPH states.?If your child receives the flu vaccine at the pediatrician’s office, please have the doctor’s office fax the updated immunization record to Nurse Robin @Pottenger School. Our fax number is (413)787-7006. You may also email documentation of receiving the flu vaccine to Nurse Robin’s school email which is sellr@. You may also simply drop off the documentation at the school.Your child may also receive the flu vaccine at a local CVS or Walgreens.
