The employee may be assigned other duties that are not specifically included.SUMMARY: Assist the Storekeeper or other Supervisor by monitoring, dispensing, and maintaining all materials used by the department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains the cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the warehouse and the grounds area.Gathers materials for jobs, loads and unloads trucks, sorts material and maintains inventory documentation.Issues material and equipment and completes required paperwork.Maintains a record keeping system for proper accounting of materials received.Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on packing lists.Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.Stores articles in systematic method according to inventory number.Fills orders for material from stock.Operates hoisting equipment to load and unload heavy material including securing material and equipment on vehicles for transportation to site or repair shop.Unloads and moves freight with forklift.Delivers material to work crews at the job site upon request.Assist other departments as requested or required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of transmission and distribution materials and equipment related to the construction and maintenance of utility systems. Knowledge of Riviera policies, procedures, and organizational structure.Knowledge of safety precautions for lifting, loading, securing materials and equipment to and from inventory and/or to or from truck beds and trailers.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other warehouse employees, line crew employees, and contract personnel.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to communicate orally and verbally.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.Ability to see and examine items to find discrepancies or errors.Ability to have regular and predictable work attendance.Work Environment/Physical Demands:Normal warehouse working conditions and work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Lifting 75 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds such as notebooks, small hand tools, and test or measurement equipment. Walking and standing are required constantly, as well as driving a number of different vehicles, with both standard and automatic transmissions. Reaching. Handling. Fingering. Feeling. Seeing. Kneeling.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Special RequirementsMust possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license within 60 days of employment. ................
