| |To ensure that the Goods In, Despatch & Stock Control areas run smoothly. |

| |To ensure that goods are picked and packed in an efficient and effective manner. |

| |To ensure that goods are checked and packaged in a manner that provides safe carriage on vehicles. |

| |To ensure that staff are following company processes and procedures. |

| |To assist with performance management and training requirements of team. |

| |To ensure good housekeeping within the warehouse operation. |

| |Reporting staff absences and returns to HR. |

| |Dealing with any performance issues as they arise. |

| |Reporting and recording any Health & Safety issues and near misses. |

| |Oversee loading of all vehicles for customer deliveries. |

|Person Specification |Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and colleagues. |

| |Supervise loading of company vehicles with customers’ orders, either manually or by use of a fork lift truck. |

| |Ensuring Goods are receipted in quickly and accurately. |

| |To ensure all delivery notes are checked against delivery manifest. |

| |To supervise the picking of customers’ orders as requested. |

| |To ensure that all discrepancies are highlighted on pick tickets and are addressed by office staff. |

| |To ensure that all stock is safely stored and secured at all times, and to assist in the re-organisation and |

| |re-locations of stock when necessary to accommodate any volume purchases / seasonal items. |

| |To ensure that the warehousing areas are kept neat and tidy at all times. |

| |To assist management with the ongoing programme of stock checks. |

| |Be responsible for securing the stores area on a daily basis. |

| |To deliver materials and equipment to customers’ sites when requested |

| |Document, progress and advise those necessary, of customer returns. |

| |Where able, demonstrate stock capabilities. |

| |Where applicable arrange pre delivery inspection for equipment sold |

| |Provide support to other team members as and when required within the full warehouse operation |

|Company requirements |Undergone recognised product /equipment training and typically has had at least 2 years direct warehousing experience |

| |with industrial equipment and materials AND/OR has had at least 2 years’ goods distributive experience and holding a |

| |current full UK driving licence. |

| |A strong focus on getting the correct products to our customers on time in full through ensuring that the correct |

| |products are picked / packed for delivery. |

| |An investigative nature to question if something does not appear to be correct. |

| |Willingness to learn and enforce the company processes and procedures and to contribute ideas for the continuing |

| |improvement and development of the warehouse processes. |

| |The ability to supervise and develop staff members and make decisions relevant to the successful outcome and conclusion |

| |of the warehousing processes. |

| |The Company has a health and safety policy which outlines its responsibilities as an employer and the responsibilities |

| |of its employees in respect of health and safety, all employees need to be aware of this policy and comply with its |

| |content. |

| |Carrying out any other duties which are appropriate to the post as may be reasonably requested by line manager. |
