Job Description

Position: Data Management and Gift Stewardship Coordinator Branch: Association

Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Director of Annual Support

Position Overview: The Data Management and Gift Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for the integrity and maintenance of the YMCA’s financial development database and oversees all gift stewardship endeavors. This involves entering and auditing pledges received for all family centers, creation of and changes to individual donor records, invoicing, report development and generation, and donor recognition and thank you procedures. In addition, this individual will be responsible for all financial development mailing, aid in special events, and conduct research and reporting related to financial development.

In addition, this position is responsible for the following duties:

Essential Duties:

• Enters or Audits all Annual Support Campaign pledges and contributions on a daily basis.

• Provide direct leadership to the Associate Directors of Annual Support and Data Management and Stewardship Coordinators.

• Produces weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual campaign reports and others upon request to assist in the success of the annual campaign.

• Provides all needed reporting and statistical data for funding and grant requests.

• Executes a year-round plan of donor cultivation, recognition and stewardship including the implementation of annual recognition protocol for major contributors and key program volunteers.

• Enforces all policies and procedures surrounding gift entry and campaign reporting at the family center level.

• Completes department mailing projects.

• Maintains master contact list and constant contact e-mail database for the department.

• Assists with corporate/family foundation research.

• Compiles donor information packets.

• Works to maintain data fidelity, and develops and run reports from the donor database as needed.

• Collaborates with development staff on other YMCA financial development efforts.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.

• Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and database management. Experience working with Daxko development and membership modules or experience with Raiser’s Edge and/or other CSR programs a plus.

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

• Demonstrated competence in financial reporting and database analysis and must.

• Proven record of leadership and personal and group achievement. Able to work independently to meet individual and group goals.

• Ability to work with with senior management team and board level volunteers; ability to work independently and in groups; proven quality with both written and oral communication skills; excellent decision-making, priority setting and handling of challenges; high energy level and impeccable follow-through. Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate with major donors, prospects, volunteers, and staff.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Detail oriented.

• Ability to represent the YMCA in a mature and professional manner.

Being in good physical health with full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination required. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Occasionally requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.

Primarily works in office environment, with travel to Family Center locations, program sites, and meetings with volunteers in Broward County. Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
