SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
Bus to include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Air conditioning and heat
• Wheelchair access for contracted services (as needed) Schools will provide a two week notice if a wheelchair accessible bus becomes necessary. For the beginning of the school year, buses with wheelchair access are not necessary.
• Restroom access on Bus(s)
• DVD player and monitors that provide legible subtitles
2. DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
All drivers must possess a current CDL-P driver’s license with a School Bus endorsement. All drivers must have passed a medical examination in accordance with standards established in 40 C.F.R 391.41 through 391.49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. All drivers must have passed a statewide online background check via the Washington State Patrol WATCH program. Each eligible driver must submit to an FBI Identification Record, Criminal History Record. Originals will be sent to the Procurement Coordinator for verification. The State will determine if the driver will be eligible to participate in the contract based on the submitted documentation, notify the contractor of the driver’s eligibility, and return the originals to the Contractor. During the life of the contract, the State may request proper documentation to support a driver’s eligibility.
3. COMPANY QUALIFICATIONS
Any companies awarded the contract must be appropriately certified and licensed in accordance with all current state and federal requirements. Evidence of the same must be provided upon request. Reference 49 CFR

4. 10/24/13: Please note that A&A Motorcoach has agreed to credit invoices for the Eastbound Route by the amount of $120.00 per leg for the Wenatchee Airport to City of Chelan segment for trips when there is no student to transport. Reference Amendment #1. The remainder of the contract is unchanged.
