Hartwig has traveled throughout Europe and may have lived in Germany as

recently as 1996. She is fluent in both English and German. Hartwig is

believed to have been in New York City in December of 2000.

FBI Fugitive - Brigitte Hartwig

CAUTION

Brigitte Hartwig is wanted for her alleged involvement in a fatal traffic accident in Palm Beach County,

Florida. On May 8, 2000, Hartwig is alleged to have been driving under the influence of alcohol when she

was involved in a traffic accident which resulted in the death of a nine-year-old child. On January 18,

2001, a state arrest warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of Palm Beach County, Florida charging

Hartwig with driving while under the influence - manslaughter and vehicular homicide. Hartwig was

subsequently charged in a federal arrest warrant in the Southern District of Florida with unlawful flight to

avoid prosecution. Hartwig may have since left the United States and traveled to Germany.
