We do not have state assessment data for the 19-20 school year. However, the one consistent is our quarterly SMART goals based on the 4 PLC questions. We will utilize our SMART goals as our monitoring data to demonstrate growth for the 20-21 school year. We were on distance learning from March 2020 through the end of the school year. Our 2020-2021 school year has started with families being able to choose either full in-building learning or full distance learning. We have 60% of our students in building learning and 40% of our students distance learning with our Brown Elementary Staff.ELA GOAL:?ELA Core Curriculum & Instruction: Based on?NVACS, and our Essential Standards for ELA,?our 2020-21?goal is to continue to?increase ELA grade level growth in all grade levels as measured by?80%?of students meeting grade level ELA quarterly SMART goals and/or?80%?of students making at least 2 points growth on their SLO.?This ensures that?all of?our students, at every level, are making growth.???Root Causes:?Based on our?quarterly SMART and SLO goals, all but two grade levels met the 85% or more students. Students are responding, but not equally or growing adequately to the increased rigor/demands of NVACS. Whole staff PD, Walk-throughs, observations,?GTM's, SMART goal/SLO alignment, student engagement, discussion, and higher level thinking needs to continue in daily instruction to increase and ensure learning and growth is accessible to all students during Tier 1 Core Instruction and Tier 2 & 3 Intervention time.??Measurable Objective:?Increase?ELA grade level growth in all grade levels as measured by 85% of students meeting grade level ELA quarterly SMART goals and/or 85% of students making at least 2 points growth on their SLO goal aligned with NVACS?and Essential Standards.??MATH GOAL:?Math Core Curriculum and Instruction:?Based on?NVACS, and our Essential Standards for ELA,?our 2020-21 goal is to continue to increase?Math?grade level growth in all grade levels as measured by?85%?of students meeting grade level?Math?quarterly SMART goals and/or?85%?of students making at least 2 points growth on their SLO.?This ensures that?all of?our students, at every level, are making growth.????Root Causes:?Based on our?math quarterly SMART and SLO goals from 2019-2020, all grade levels had 88% or higher percent of students mastering the Essential Standards.??Students?need to continue to adapt to the?increased rigor/demands of NVACS. Whole staff PD,?Walk-throughs, observations, PLC's, SMART goal/SLO alignment, student engagement, discussion, and higher level thinking needs to continue in daily instruction to increase and ensure learning and growth is accessible to all students during Tier 1 Core Instruction and Tier 2 & 3 Intervention time.??Measurable Objective:?Increase?math grade level growth in all grade levels as measured by 90%?of students meeting grade level math quarterly SMART goals and/or?90% of students making at least 2 points growth on their SLO goal aligned with NVACS.??Family Engagement Goals:?Based on the Spring 20-21?Parent Climate Survey:?20-21 Looking at the above goal from last year, we not only exceeded our previous goal for Quality Education?rising up?to 96%, we also exceeded our Overall Quality goal. We were striving for 90% or?higher, and?received a 96%.?Now, reviewing and looking at where we scored in all topics, the Family Efficacy Category went up from 76% to 83%, however, with our current pandemic, and knowing 1/3 of our students are distance learning, focusing on?Family?Efficacy and trying to improve how confident families are with regard to key parenting skills is going to be our focus for the 20-21 school year. We would like to raise the Family Efficacy category from 83% to 88% for the 20-21 school year.??Family?Night:?Brown School will build the capacity of all families to assist in their child's educational progress by providing a Family Night, this will provide ELA, Math, & SEL instructional strategies and games that parents can utilize with their students at home to support the learning at school. Students will be facilitating in each of the following subject areas to share with parents what and how they are learning: math, ELA, and Social & Emotional learning. We will also have an Open Computer Lab to answer/help navigate IC, district website, and then rooms that focus on: NVACS Information, Nevada Kids Read, and Counseling Info. Our goal is to?have 50%?of our parents attend Family Night to learn instructional strategies/games provided by staff and students that will support the B.I.G. data received at parent/teacher conferences. This will be measured by passports getting stamped and parents completing the evaluation on the back of the passport.??? ................
