Summer Program
Summer Newsletter
July and August 2019
Message from SCC:
Our Summer Programs offer a lot of opportunities for outdoor fun and activities that promise to make learning a joyful experience. Your children will enjoy a variety of sand and water activities, as well as joining together to celebrate different cultures. We will also include weekly Chapel and Bible stories to focus on learning God's word. Children that are headed to Kindergarten in the fall will continue in the process of preparing for that transition.

International Mud Day Celebration: (Friday, June 28) We will be celebrating by making
mud pies in the morning and playing in it in the afternoon. This is such a great sensory activity for our children!
PLEASE send a beach towel, bathing suit, and sunscreen in a separate bag labeled with your child's name on Mud Day.
The creators of International Mud Day wanted to find a way to help all the children of the Earth feel closer to each other. It began in 2009 at a World Forum event and we now celebrate International Mud Day together each year on June 29. Regardless of age, race and religion, covered in mud, we all look the same! Learn more at
Splash Day: Once a week we will have a variety of water fun available: sprinklers, water
wiggles, mud and sandcastle building. PLEASE send a beach towel, bathing suit, and sunscreen in a separate bag labeled with your child's name on Splash Days (check calendar for dates)!

yard". We will hike to the park and have our snack by the playground. Throughout our hike we will learn about the different plants and animals that live in O'Neill.
