On the Move Obstacle Course (Engineering) Create an indoor obstacle course! Materials:

? Various household items (such as: couch cushions, blankets, baskets, chairs, etc.) ? Free floor space

Instructions: 1. Place household items in the center of the room. 2. Encourage and assist your child to move the items around the room to create an obstacle course. Examples: ? Use couch cushions to create a triangle. Your child can crawl through the hole or use it as a ramp. ? Place a basket in the obstacle course for your child to step into and out of or crawl in and back out. ? Place a blanket on the floor for your child to hop over. 3. Once the obstacle course has been created, encourage your child to complete it! 4. Once finished, encourage your child to rearrange the obstacle course and try again.

Sensory Time Pumpkin Pie Slime It's always a good time for slime. Ingredients:

? 2 bowls ? ? tsp of Borax ? 1 1/3 cups of hot water ? 2 cups of white school glue ? 1 ? cup of hot water ? 5-10 drops of orange food coloring ? 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice

Instructions: 1. Combine Borax and 1 1/3 Cup hot water in a bowl. Mix well. 2. In a separate bowl combine white school glue, 1 ? cups of hot water, food coloring, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix well.

3. Combine both bowls and mix until slime forms, knead and enjoy!

Activity: Cardboard Box Creativity Materials:

? Cardboard box ? Dress up clothes ? Crayons or markers

Instructions: 1. Have your little one decide what you can create together from a cardboard box ? is it a city? Could it be a rocket ship? A sailboat in the ocean? 2. Decorate the box with your little one using crayons or markers however they want to. Talk with them about what they are creating. 3. You can add dress up clothes to the mix to build that imagination even more! 4. Create as many things as you can think of; those Amazon boxes can be a great source of play for hours!

Arts and Creativity Water Bottle Shakers What types of sounds can you make with your water bottle shakers? Materials:

? Empty water bottles ? Dried beans ? Stickers ? Tape

Instructions: 1. Open the water bottle top. 2. Pour the dried beans into the water bottle and fill about halfway. 3. Close the water bottle top tightly. 4. Place tape around the top of the water bottle, 5. Decorate using stickers. 6. Shake the water bottle to hear the sounds! 7. Experiment by creating more shakers with different amounts of beans inside of them. 8. Talk with your toddlers about the different sounds that they make.
