Wet Season Erosion Control Plan Outline

Project nameDesignerReviewerDesigners of Agency Erosion and Sediment Control Plans are providing plans that satisfy the NPDES 1200-CA permit requirements. The ESCP design is expected to prevent erosion, control sedimentation and prevent sediment laden water (or other pollutants) from leaving the project site. The 1200-CA permit requires information that is best provided in narrative format (see accompanying document). Provide items listed under Site Description (below) in Project NarrativeDesigners, provide BMPs for anticipated disturbances during all phases of construction and for final stabilization of construction site. Note items such as schedule of work, storage and stockpile areas, haul routes and wet season work plan are determined by contractor and will be provided in the Project’s working ESCP. Verify that between the Narrative and Contract plans the following are provided:SITE DESCRIPTION FORMCHECKBOX Nature of construction activity. FORMCHECKBOX Timetable for major activities. FORMCHECKBOX Nature of construction activity. FORMCHECKBOX Total area (acres) of site of permitted work. FORMCHECKBOX Area (acres) that will undergo clearing and/or earthwork. FORMCHECKBOX Nature of in-situ soils especially erosion potential of soils. FORMCHECKBOX Fill material and erosion potential of that material. FORMCHECKBOX Names of receiving waters from site storm water runoff. FORMCHECKBOX Names of the receiving water(s) for storm water runoff.SITE MAP – (PLAN SHEETS) FORMCHECKBOX Show area of total development (total project area – ROW lines will show, Roadway should have area.) FORMCHECKBOX Drainage patterns (show with slope arrows) FORMCHECKBOX Show area of total soil disturbance (cut and fill lines, detour routes staging areas, etc. Show also proposed and existing contours) FORMCHECKBOX Areas receiving vegetative stabilization. Provide vegetation types in seed mix. FORMCHECKBOX Location of all erosion and sediment control BMPs. FORMCHECKBOX Location of all impervious surfaces (roads, buildings, other pavement etc.) FORMCHECKBOX Springs, wetlands & other surface waters located on site. FORMCHECKBOX 100 year flood elevation if applicable FORMCHECKBOX Location of storm drainage outfalls to receiving waters if applicable. FORMCHECKBOX Erosion Control notes. FORMCHECKBOX Erosion and Sediment Control list of Standard Drawings. FORMCHECKBOX Location of drinking water wells & underground injection controls. FORMCHECKBOX Details of sediment and erosion controls (Standard Drawings) FORMCHECKBOX Details of detention ponds, storm drain piping, inflow and outfall details. (Hydraulic engineering)REQUIRED DESIGN FEATURES FORMCHECKBOX Stabilized construction entrances FORMCHECKBOX Sediment barrier perimeter control BMP (down slope barrier preventing sediment from leaving project site) FORMCHECKBOX Other sediment control BMPs (to capture sediment on slopes, in inlets and to contain or filter sediment from turbid water) FORMCHECKBOX Erosion prevention BMPs not relying on vegetation (matting, compost, mulch, plastic sheeting) FORMCHECKBOX Erosion prevention vegetative final stabilization (seeding, planting w/ mulching) FORMCHECKBOX Runoff control, erosion prevention BMPs (divert water from off-site, check velocity of flowing water, reinforce ditches & channels) FORMCHECKBOX Pollution control/prevention (concrete truck washout basins) FORMCHECKBOX Emergency materials (Anticipate and prepare for worst case events) FORMCHECKBOX Construction details of correct installation of all used BMPs (standard drawings) FORMCHECKBOX Special provisions FORMCHECKBOX Bid list with cost estimateThe 1200-CA has requirements for the Project Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (Project ESCP as opposed to the Agency erosion and sediment control plans). This includes information that must be provided by the contractor to the Project PM for incorporation into the Project ESCP.CONTRACTOR’S ESCP TO PROVIDE FORMCHECKBOX Wet season work plan FORMCHECKBOX Stabilized staging/parking area location FORMCHECKBOX Stockpile locations & schedule of implementation of stockpile isolation FORMCHECKBOX Schedule of phased clearing allowing existing vegetation to be retained FORMCHECKBOX Schedule of implementation of sediment control BMPs FORMCHECKBOX Schedule of implementation of erosion control BMPs FORMCHECKBOX Schedule of implementation of temporary and permanent vegetative site stabilization. ................
