1. JOB PURPOSE:

To work as part of the Waste Water Services Catchment Team within the area to operate and maintain the Waste Water Treatment and Sewerage Pump Stations (SPS) asset to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and improve reliability of asset performance.

3. CORE DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The core part of the role is to carry out first line maintenance on instruments, electrical and & mechanical equipment. This may include but is not exclusive to the following:-

o Undertake Conditioned Based Monitoring and subsequent lubrication.

o Check belt wear on blowers, and change if required.

o Undertake Lifting Equipment, Electrical and LEV inspections.

o Carry out calibration of equipment in order to ensure accuracy and reliability.

o Maintenance of Electrical equipment in a challenging operational environment. This will include intrinsicly safe equipment.

o Provide support to help implement the Operator Skilling Program and support other operators within the area.

• Undertake the relevant first line maintenance tasks that are identified from the LEAN RCM (reliability, Centered, maintenance) reviews/workshops.

Additional responsibilities will include the following:-

• Operate Waste Water Treatment Works to ensure site processes are running effectively and a range of WWTW across the area.

• Operate Waste Water Pumping Stations to ensure plant and equipment are running effectively at a range of SPS across the area.

• Carry out on site monitoring to ensure effective site operation and that compliance requirements are maintained.

• Respond effectively to site conditions and monitoring information that ensure compliance is maintained and the environment is protected.

• Store and Handle chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS Procedures and relevant Health and Safety standards.

• To use the SCADA control system, PCs and other computer hardware and software in order to carry out the role effectively.

• The completion of reactive and planned work across the sewerage network to the highest standard of expertise.

• Accurate and timely feedback of activities completed with adherence to schedules, business rules and procedures.

• Liaison with Asset Managers, Technical Services and other members of the team to ensure site operation and asset maintenance is optimised.

• To deal effectively with customer queries when directly approached and pass information up the management line where appropriate.
