Engaging our Team Members Connecting in Communities Creating Meaningful Impact

Introduction

The Team Member Philanthropy group's vision is to make it easy for every team member to be able to make a meaningful, positive effect in their communities. We do this through a broad set of programs from the Community Support Campaign to the Volunteer Leave Program, from Reading First to the Educational Matching Gifts program. Every year we're amazed at how big an impact our team members have around the world. As you read through this 2015 report, you'll see enormous numbers and growth, including these highlights:

? The Community Support Campaign recorded over $98 million in team member giving and was named United Way's #1 workplace giving campaign for the seventh year in a row;

? Team members outside the United States donated over $191,000, more than

double 2014's total;

? More than 76,000 team members worldwide recorded volunteer hours in

My Volunteer Time, accounting for over 1.8 million hours volunteered; and

? Nearly 400 outstanding volunteers were recognized with volunteer grants

totaling more than $600,000.

Even with those and the many other incredible accomplishments you'll see in this report, we in Team Member Philanthropy are constantly trying to improve and modernize our programs to better support team members. In 2015 we changed our Volunteer Leave Program to take applications year-round and approve leaves on a quarterly basis instead of annually, which makes the program much more flexible and timely. We also made major changes in the Community Support Campaign, bringing on a new vendor to disburse the $40 million in team member donations we collect annually and the $20 million in match funds we pay every year. We also retired the campaign pledge site that had served us well for over a decade, launching a new site with a mobile-friendly interface, better nonprofit search, and the ability to track a donation's status. We will continue to improve this site in 2016 and also hope to pilot an exciting new feature in select areas.

Finally, 2016 will be the 15th anniversary of the WE Care Fund, which has helped hundreds of team members through disaster and hardships. We'll celebrate this anniversary even as we push to improve the program and to bring the grant application online. Because better is always possible, and our singular thought is to make it easier for team members to help.

Sincerely,

Meet our team (front): Lillian Cordova-Lopez, Peter Dudley, Kendel Bryant, (back) Cindy Santos, Patty Pannkuk, Iain Hamp, Melissa Buchanan, Carrie Wolter

Our Vision:

We want to make it easy for all team members to personally connect with their communities in a meaningful way.

Using the tools and resources provided by Team Member Philanthropy, we encourage you to share your community involvement experiences within Wells Fargo. Sharing your stories may qualify you and your favorite nonprofit organizations for special recognition.

The theme of the 2015 Campaign was "Small is Huge. It all adds up to make a big dif ference" for the second year. The intent of this theme was to remind team members how their everyday actions make a huge impact ? whether it helps one person, one mission or one community. It also helps tell our story that our team members help at the local level ? by individual, by neighborhood, and by community. Our knowledge of the communities we serve furthers our commitment to doing those small ? yet significant ? things to make them better.

Our campaign philosophy

? We understand that the decision to give is a personal choice for team members, and no one should be coerced or pressured to give to or participate in the campaign.

? We understand that our diverse team has many definitions of community -- a group, a neighborhood, a cause -- that could be down the street or across the globe.

? We understand that team members should be encouraged to give financially to, and volunteer for, causes they care about in ways that work best for them.

? We understand that each team member's privacy must be respected.

? We understand that it is important to provide a campaign pledging experience that is secure, convenient, and simple for our team members.

Through the Community Support Campaign, team members can contribute to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, school, and/or religious organization. Wells Fargo pays all administrative and processing costs so that 100 percent of our team mem bers' donations go straight to the organizations of their choice. It is also important to Wells Fargo that we make our team members feel comfortable and confident in making a donation and will not share any of their personal information unless they choose to be recognized for their gifts.

Wells Fargo automatically matches--dollar for dollar, from $25 up to $5,000 per team member, per year--all donations made during the campaign to eligible accredited educational institutions and foundations that are set up to raise funds for a specific school or school district.
