HOLY FAMILY OF JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH–DECEMBER 28, 2014

–APRIL 13, 2014

- SEPTEMBER 18, 2011

, 2011

Dear Friends:

Have you ever reflected upon the Ten Commandments? They deal with relationships. The Commandments one thru three deal with our relationship with the God who created us; and Commandments four thru ten deal with our relationships with one another. We will recall that the fourth Commandment, “Honor your father and your mother,” speaks of our first very first relationships. Depending upon our own personal life experiences, we begin to learn about relationships with our parents. As we hear in our first two readings, from Genesis and Hebrews, Abraham and Sarah were old and childless. However, God promised, and was faithful, that Abraham and Sarah would be the parents of many descendants, “as numerous as the stars in the sky.” Their faith in God was the cornerstone of their relationship with one another, and later with their son, Isaac. It was the same with Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Holy Family. Their lives would be far from easy. They would be put to the test. They placed their belief and trust, their faith, in God who would protect them. The cornerstone of every strong family is their faith in God. The family that prays together stays together as God’s favor rests upon them.

With peace and joy!

Estimados amigos:

Pondrían a prueba.
