1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 1.1 Purpose:

“Survival of the Fittest” will initiate and maintain a standard for healthy living in which each person can be held accountable. The ministry will re-introduce an active regimen for those that dismiss healthy living, develop a standard for those that are intrigued and assist those with fading health condition. In addition to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Survival of the Fittest will uphold the key components of URMBC: Grow, Work & Compel.

2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?”

1.2 1.2 Scope

Survival of the Fittest ministry in 2013 will have 3 Phases that will continue to progress as the ministry evolves:

- Phase 1: April – June

o Move-Up (Completion of Phase 1)

- Phase 2: July – Sep

o Move-Up (Completion of Phase 2)

- Phase 3: Oct – Dec

o Move-Up (Completion of Phase 3)

1.3 1.3 Structure Overview

The classes will be broken up into two clusters:

Cluster 1: This cluster will consist of those working out for the first time, people that may not be able to do strenuous workouts, people that lack mobility in certain areas.

Cluster 2: This cluster will consist of people that have the ability to consistently move at high impact for 30 minutes or more at a time, people that can run for more than 10 minutes and people that want to push themselves to limits that have not experienced.

When/Where: Working in conjunction with the Youth & Young Adult Ministry, Survival of the

Fittest will be a weekly program. The ideal time for the classes will be on Friday’s which will

1. Time Management: Each class will effectively accomplish a lot in a 60 minute class.

2. Cluster 1: 6:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.

3. Weekly Accomplishments, Homework Overview & Stretching: 6:00 P.M. – 6:15 P.M.

4. Workout: (Each week, there will be a different workout) 6:15 P.M. – 6:45 P.M.

5. Cool Down & Spiritual Overview

6. Cluster 2: 7:00 P.M. – 8:15 P.M.

7. Weekly Accomplishments, Homework Overview & Stretching: 7:00 P.M. – 7:15 P.M.

8. Workout: (Each week, there will be a different workout) 7:15 P.M. – 7:55 P.M.

9. Cool Down & Spiritual Overview

1.4 1.4 Points of Contact

Each person will have to fill-out an Emergency Contact Form in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

• Weekly reminders will be established through phone calls/email to confirm class participation.

1.5 1.5 General Training Prerequisites

Briefly summarize the general training prerequisites for each type of training mentioned in this plan.

Prepare a training schedule to include the following information:

The schedule should be as comprehensive as possible; however, the schedule may be revised at later points in the project lifecycle.

7 1.7 Curriculum

Throughout the remainder of 2013, we will be focusing on:

Romans 12: 1-2

1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3.0 EVALUATION

EVALUATION

Outline the metrics that will be captured and how they will be captured.

Some of the metrics that should be tracked include:

b 2.2 Strategy

In order for a person to complete each Phase, the person will have to complete the task listed above. Though each person will be encouraged to complete each task, each person will need the fortitude to push them spiritually, mentally and physically. There will not be any days off because God does not take any days off on His people. Each person will be empowered to persevere but it will ultimately be up to the individual.
