Steve says

Kind of a quirky book. Factoids of history.

Matt says

Overall, a fairly enjoyable and interesting read. It has some great eyewitness accounts of famous events (Wyatt Earp's testimony about the gunfight at the OK Corral, the Red Baron's death, Captain Morgan's assault and sack of Panama)... However, I didn't like how the author tends to editorialize events. That, combined with the fact that there is VERY LITTLE in the way of bibliographic citations, made the material feel suspect at times.

Jamie says

this was really funny...a good bathroom book.

Jennifer says

I like the history presented in first hand accounts. Unfortunately there was a lot of guilt-tripping about the American Indians. Yeah, I get it. We killed them all and ruined their culture. Let's move on to the other 6000 years of history.

Sam says

Maybe I'll come back to this at a later time, but I've been having the worst time trying to get into it.

Jim says

A light but interesting look at some history from unique perspectives. If you like history you will like this one.

Rosal?a says

WEIRD HISTORY 101 shares some interesting, fun, and enlightening tidbits in history.

Carrie says

...maybe I'll come back to this one later...

Andrew says

Very interesting. I'm enjoying it very much right now!

A. says

I couldn't get into it. It was way too tedious and is written like a textbook. Definitely not what I expected.

Rob Shurmer says

Some of the anecdotes are a bit hyperbolic while others, taken out of context, sound more weird than they should.

Ashes Glenn says

I loved this book, lots of goodies to learn. Definitely changed my view on our country and its founding quite a bit.

Keith Parrish says

This isn't so much weird history as just random bits of this and that. The book is mostly made up of snippets and primary source stuff with mediocrely written and questionably researched commentary. Not anything special, and not worth going out of your way for.

QED137 says

Interesting read, but I question the author's sources.

Aubrie says

very interesting
