Important compliance reminders

We’d like to remind you of a few requirements referenced in the Wells Fargo Financial National Bank General Dealer Agreement, which must be followed to remain compliant when offering this credit card program to your customers. If you have questions about other requirements or policies of your credit card program offered through Wells Fargo Financial National Bank, please refer to your General Dealer Agreement.

• You may not charge Wells Fargo applicants/cardholders a fee for financing. (For example: you may not charge a transaction fee or processing fee in connection with purchases financed with our card).

• To help protect the security of your customers’ applications and personal information, including names, social security numbers, etc., you must process your own Wells Fargo Financial National Bank credit applications and charges. Third parties cannot be utilized for these processing functions and you cannot assist any third parties in processing applications or charges under this credit card program.

• You must use the current version of our credit application and regularly submit all credit applications, both approved and denied, to Wells Fargo Financial National Bank in accordance with the document submission procedures associated with your credit card program.

• You may not prefund. (For example: you may not present a charge for funding before the merchandise has been delivered or the services have been performed).

The easiest way to make sure you’re using the most current version of our credit application is by utilizing the Internet Processing System (IPS) located within the Online Resource Center. Log on to retailservices regularly to find important program notices, updates, training, and tools to help make your credit card program work its best for your business.
