BBB SYSTEM'S 100TH YEAR

2012 marks the 100th Anniversary of the BBB System. Changes from its inception are far too numerous to mention. Needless to say, technology has been the biggest change for the better. Prior to computerization, this BBB was only able to handle less than 100,000 instances of service a year. In 2011, we had well over 600,000 instances of service with approximately 95 percent being pre-purchase inquiries. More than ever, consumers are checking out companies prior to doing business with them. We are delighted with this trend because it is a distinct advantage to you, our Accredited Businesses! We hope 2012 is a banner year for all of you.

NEW NAME FOR KUB METER CONTRACTOR

The company that reads meters for KUB has changed its name, and KUB is trying to get the word out to avoid confusion for customers. Utility Meter Services, has now changed its name to Grid One Solutions, so customers will see a new logo on the company's uniforms and vehicles.

"We want to ensure KUB customers are aware of the name change to help alleviate any concerns they may have, stated Dale Grubbs, KUB customer service official.

Grid One Solutions employees will carry KUB contractor ID badges at all times, as do all KUB employees and contractors do.

If you are not sure if someone is an actual KUB employee or contractor, you may call KUB at (865) 524-2911 to verify that someone has been sent to your address.
