Serving as the leader for cancer diagnosis, treatment, research, and education in South Florida, Sylvester integrates all cancer-related activities at the University of Miami. AFFILIATED HOSPITALS

Licensed for more than 1,500 beds, Jackson Memorial Hospital is a teaching hospital for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. It is home to many affiliated UM and Jackson programs, including the Ryder Trauma Center and the Miami Transplant Institute.

Holtz Children's Hospital is one of the largest children's hospitals in the southeastern United States. Staffed by UHealth/ Miller physicians, Holtz Children's Hospital specializes in research and treatment for a wide range of pediatric medical specialties, including pediatric diabetes, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, infectious disease/immunology, allergies, gastroenterology, pulmonology, and transplantation of all solid organs, including pediatric multi-organ transplantation.

UHealth/Miller physicians work closely with the Miami VA Healthcare System. The Miami VA Healthcare System has provided general medical, surgical, and psychiatric services for our country's veterans since 1968.

The 100-acre medical campus in Miami's Health District houses UHealth/Miller's flagship hospital, University of Miami Hospital, and its two specialty hospitals: Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Metrorail Civic Center Station is adjacent to the medical center and within walking distance to any building on campus. In addition, the Miami Trolley provides a number of stops around campus and connects with Metrorail. The medical center is also serviced by Metrobus routes. UHEALTH SHUTTLE BUS

It's easier than ever to visit UHealth physicians. Park at the Clinical Research Building garage (1120 NW 14th Street) for $4 (half the regular price), then ride the air-conditioned shuttle bus. The bus driver will validate your parking ticket. UHealth shuttles go to University of Miami Hospital, Schoninger Research Quadrangle, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. They run approximately every 10 minutes and stop at designated entrances. This service is free of charge and operates between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday.
