was collected in 1957 west of Pueblo, Colorado at about 5000 feet elevation on medium textured soils. It was selected by New Mexico PMC and released cooperatively by the PMC and New Mexico Agricultural Experiment Station in 1974 (Alderson and Sharp, 1994). It is adapted to the Southwestern Regions of the Western United States. ................
