Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to Westerville South High School for the 2017-2018 school year!

Within this handbook you will find rules and guidelines that help us maintain an orderly and safe learning environment as we focus our energy on teaching and learning. We take pride in maintaining self-composure, responding appropriately to challenges, pushing ourselves to progress and succeed, and in making the right decisions. We expect that students will always show respect to each other and to their teachers.

I urge you students to become involved in the life of South High School. Do your best work in the classroom, try out for a team or a play, and get involved in some clubs. Experience shows that students who are involved have more success and take greater pride in their school. Some graduates remarked that the advice of getting involved helped guide their early habits and laid a foundation of success at South.

Parents, please read this handbook with your children as a family. Become familiar with what we expect and how we do business at South. We hope this handbook will answer your questions about your school. As always, please call us at 614-797-6000 for personal assistance.

Here's to a great new school year in Wildcat Country!

Sincerely,

Michael W. Starner Principal
