The sites for the regional finals are Lexington, KY and Oklahoma City, OK on Sunday, and Bridgeport, CT and Stockton, CA on Monday.The Women's National Semifinals will be broadcast on Friday, March 31st, 2017. Doubleheader coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET, live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. TheWomen's Championship Game will take place on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 beginning at 5:30 PM ET. Please note that some of the airtimes have changed from when originally announced. The trio of John Sadak (play-by-play), Debbie Antonelli (color analyst) and Krista Blunk (courtside reporter) will broadcast all the action of Women’s Final Four weekend. Lance Medow will anchor the pregame, halftime and postgame shows. All broadcasts related to the 2017 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will be fed on Channel ID ‘126’/‘SPORTS ‘6’ on your WEGENER SATELLITE RECEIVER. A complete format, including automation and other technical notes, is attached. Each game contains a different amount of inventory available for station sale. Please refer to the formats in this program alert to determine the amount for each particular broadcast day. A reminder that there is a four-quarter format for Women’s basketball instead of the traditional two halves which is used in men’s games. Under this structure, each quarter will feature one full media timeout, taken approximately mid-way through each quarter. The NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament broadcasts are available to all approved Westwood One affiliates. There are no "black-out" areas. In addition, the regional radio networks of the two competing teams will be permitted to originate their own coverage.As per Westwood One’s contract with the NCAA, stations are NOT PERMITTED to stream the audio of any NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament game broadcasts provided by the Network.? Any violation by an affiliated station website?may result in loss of broadcast privileges and/or legal action. Page 2 of 12 Broadcast Advertising Policies of the NCAA (updated July 2014—No changes from last two seasons)The NCAA’s advertising and promotional standards are designed to encourage those advertisers that support the NCAA’s ideals and exclude those that do not appear to be in the best interests of higher education and student-athletes. The NCAA will have the authority to rule in cases where doubt exists concerning acceptable advertisers and advertising copy for broadcasts of all NCAA Championships; however, the following are expressly prohibited:1. Alcoholic beverages (except as specified below),2. Companies involved in the manufacture or sale of tobacco or tobacco-related products/services3. Professional sports organizations or personnel (except as specified hereafter), and4. Nightclubs and other establishments that include adult entertainment, gambling and the like5. Advocacy of viewpoints on controversial issues (e.g., religious or political beliefs)6. Firearms, ammunition, and other weapon-related items, unless such advertisements do not contain explicit language, or portray violence or physical harm to any person, or animal (or any image or likeness of a person or animal)7. Organizations or companies primarily involved in gambling or gaming business activities (e.g., publications, websites, products, services). This includes casinos, horse/dog racing tracks, off-track betting and state-run lotteries. 8.Advertisements featuring public personalities whose personas are inappropriate for NCAA audiences (e.g., people who promote hatred, misogyny or discrimination). 9.Promotions for motion pictures, television programming that are not yet rated or aboverated R, and interactive games that are rated “NC-17 (formerly “X”) or theirtelevision/interactive game equivalents. 10. Gratuitous violence of any kind, including ads depicting reckless, disorderly or destructive behavior. 11. Material that is defamatory, obscene, profane, vulgar or otherwise considered socially unacceptable or offensive to the general public. 12. Overt and demeaning portrayal of males and/or females as sexual objects. 13. Depiction of any student-athlete subgroup in a degrading, demeaning or disrespectful manner. 14. NCAA banned substances (e.g., stimulants, anabolic steroids, testosterone products, marijuana) and nutritional supplements (e.g., creatine, amino acids, ginseng, most energy or stimulant drinks) that NCAA member institutions may not provide to student-athletes. AlcoholThere will be no advertisements for alcoholic beverages permitted, other than for malt beverages, beer and wine products that do not exceed six percent alcohol by volume. Such advertisements shall not comprise more than 60 seconds per hour, nor more than 120 seconds total of any broadcast. Additionally, any such advertising must incorporate “drink responsibly” educational messaging within each spot.Use of Professional AthletesAdvertisements featuring active professional athletes or others connected with professional athletics are permissible, provided there are no explicit promotional references to professional teams, leagues or events. Music will be fed in the clear immediately following the network billboards which occur after the opening montage. There will not be any window for local closing billboards. STATION AVAILABILITIESPublic service announcements will be fed by the network during the station availabilities. The announcer cue will be your indication. Also, relays will be transmitted at the beginning of all station availabilities (as well as station ID’s). You may use these electronic transmissions to automate the broadcasts.STATION IDENTIFICATIONThere will be a ten-second opportunity for station identification every sixty minutes, as close to the top of the hour as possible, on this cue: “LET'S PAUSE TEN SECONDS FOR STATION IDENTIFICATION. THIS IS THE WESTWOOD ONE/NCAA RADIO NETWORK--- YOUR HOME FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS”Network audio can remain “hot” on air when I.D.’s are called for, as the network will go silent for five seconds and then fade arena audio back to normal volume by the end of each ten-second MERCIAL SEQUENCE, MAKEGOODS AND FLOATERSEvery effort will be made to air the network commercials and station availabilities in their designated order. On occasion, it may be necessary for the network to deviate from the format. The control room checklist cannot take all game conditions into account. However, any skipped local commercial positions will be made good at the first available opportunity.If necessary, makegoods for station availabilities will be offered on this cue: “RIGHT HERE, LET’S GIVE OUR STATIONS A CHANCE FOR A MESSAGE.
