Students are admitted to the Undergraduate Business Program as Pre-Business. Upon completion of requirements to file a degree plan, they declare a specific major in Business.

The Bauer College of Business offers the following majors: > Accounting > Entrepreneurship > Finance > Management > Management Information Systems > Marketing > Supply Chain Management

* Writing in the Discipline requirement for business majors is met by GENB 4350, a required course for the BBA. ** BCIS 1305 or 1405 does not have an equivalent course at UH but will transfer as MIS 1FOS and waive with substitution MIS 3300, a required course for the BBA. In addition, a passing score on the Excel Competency Exam is required as a prerequisite for STAT 3331. For information on the Excel Competency Exam, see: bauer.uh.edu/undergraduate/advising. *** SPCH 1321 does not have an equivalent course at UH but will transfer and is the preferred course to meet the Business Field of Study Speech requirement (COM 1FOS). SPCH 1311 is allowed with appropriate content only: 50% more on preparation and presentation of professional speeches (requires petition and syllabus).
