5. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

TRI-DEK panel and link filters are constructed of 3 ply pre-crimped, multi-graduated denier fibers, permanently bonded together during manufacture to provide progressive filtration; large particles are strained from the air stream on the air entering side and progressively smaller particles throughout successive plys. the pre-crimped fibers employed in the 3 PLY TRI-DEK form millions of intersticed funnel shaped traps to arrest and permanently retain, in depth, solid particulate materials in proportion to their micron size, without interrupting uniform air flow.

* No Dyes are to be used in the media, this is to insure the product is environmentally friendly.

At manufacture, the first 2 plys, are permanently bonded together thereby providing a progressive density product in a single fabric. Individual plys laminated together are not acceptable, as mechanical bonding adversely affects air flow resistance, and shortens filter life. A wet tackifier must be applied between the last two plys of media to assist in retaining particles captured by the fibers. The tackifier must be non-toxic, non-allergenic material and, applied to the media at the time of manufacture.

Each panel or link shall have an inner hard-drawn wire frame, heat sealed between the two plys; with cross braces as necessary. After heat sealing, each panel or link shall have a minimum of 1/2” selvaged edge guaranteeing positive seal around the periphery of the filter.

TRI-DEK 3 ply panels and links are U.L. Class I and U.L. Class II listed and approved per U.L. Standard 900.

Additionally, all TRI-DEK panel and link filters are available treated with AEGIS brand Antimicrobial System.

5. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Four Ply panel and link filters are constructed of 4 distinct layers of pre-crimped, multi-graduated denier fibers, permanently bonded together during manufacture to provide progressive filtration; large particles are strained from the air stream on the air entering side and progressively smaller particles throughout successive ply’s. The pre-crimped fibers employed in the Four Ply forms millions of interstice funnel shaped traps to arrest and permanently retain, in depth, solid particulate materials in proportion to their micron size, without interrupting uniform air flow.

At manufacture, the first 3 ply’s of the Four Ply’s are permanently bonded together thereby providing a progressive density product in a single fabric. Individual ply’s laminated together are not acceptable, as mechanical bonding adversely affects air flow resistance, and shortens filter life. A wet tackifier must be applied between the last two plys of media to assist in retaining particles captured by the fibers.
