In Our Body: The Universe Within, visitors learn from those who came before by examining what they’ve left behind: their bodies. Using a polymer impregnation preservation technique, the exhibit’s creators have assembled real human organs and bodies to showcase how humans function. But this is no boring anatomy lesson. The skeletons—complete with muscular structures, nerves, and veins—stretch, kick balls, ride a bike, and even play chess to reveal the malleability, efficiency, and overwhelming elegance of the body in day-to-day life. Visitors can study up close what the skin hides—peering beneath tendons and ribs—on their own or with the aid of an audio tour.

Schedule for July 13

9am

30 minute meeting on how the day will go and any questions about the day.

9:30am

Check in to the exhibit. The cost is 16.50$ per person, cash only and you may bring your family members at additional cost of 16.50$. Break into groups of 15 or less to get ready for the tour.

10:00pm

Start audio tour of the Our Body: The Universe Within Exhibit

12:00pm

Once audio tour is complete a post test will be handed out to receive approved CEU credit.

1:00pm

Once post test is completed everyone can stay at their own leisure.
