Agape Children's Center
A Ministry of Dayspring Church
Application for Employment
Agape Children’s Center is a faith based ministry of Dayspring Church and Agape staff members are employed directly by the church. The U. S Supreme Court has unanimously decided it is legal for us to discriminate on a religious basis in employment decisions in accordance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Beliefs are not worth much unless they are translated into actions. Based on what the Bible teaches, we believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe there is one God. We believe that Christ was born of a virgin birth and died for all our sins on the cross, then rose on the third day. We believe all men are saved by grace that only comes from God.
As an employee of Dayspring Church, you are asked to put your beliefs into action by agreeing with and living by the following truths:
The Bible is our guide.
“The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to
teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives;
it straightens us out and helps us do what is right.”
II Timothy 3:15
Since God’s word is the only completely reliable truth, we accept the Bible as our guide for living. Our first question when we are faced with a decision is, “What does the Bible say?” We encourage spiritual growth in your life through Bible reading, study, and memorization. The Bible is the basis for all we believe.
Christ is our focus.
Christ is the focus of Agape Children’s Center, not any person, group, or organization. While we are a ministry of Dayspring Church, you do not have to worship with us at Dayspring to be employed at Agape. We do encourage you to attend and be active in your own church.
We are examples of God’s love.
At Agape we believe all employees will treat each other, children, and parents with love and respect, reflecting the love that God has shown to each of us.
“You are …the King’s priests… God’s own people, chosen
to proclaim the wonderful acts of God.”
I Peter 2:9 (Good News)
Living according to Jesus’ standard
(Jesus said) “I am the Vine, you are the branches. If a man abides in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; but apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s truth within us. So, we practice a daily dependence on God to help us to do what is right.
Telling others about Christ
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to
give the reason for the hope that you have.”
I Peter 3:15
It is our responsibility as Christians to share the “Good News” with those whom God causes to cross our path. We practice personal sharing and include our families in invitations to Dayspring Church events.

…By praying for it’s growth and the children/families placed in my care.
…By warmly welcoming those who visit and through faithful job performance.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Col 3:23
I will continue my personal growth at Agape…
…By discovering my gifts and talents & developing my servant’s heart.
…By living a Godly life by encouraging and loving each other.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage on another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:23-25
I accept and understand that Agape Children’s Center, as a ministry of Dayspring Church, is an AT WILL employer and recognize that as a ministry, state unemployment is not available after the end of my employment. As video surveillance will expand to many parts of the building to insure developmentally appropriate practices and security, I understand that storage of my likeness and remote access of live and recorded images may occur.
