Otolaryngologist

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

The department of Otolaryngology at Sault Area Hospital is currently seeking a general otolaryngologist with either fellowship or special interest in otology & pediatrics.The ENT program currently has 1 full time otolaryngologist who offers the full range of ENT services in addition to subspecialty Rhinology. There is full support by all surgical specialties except cardiac & neurosurgery. Additionally, there is diagnostic imaging support which includes state-of-the-art 1.5 Tesla MRI and two CT Scanners.

Otolaryngology practice would include:

➢ Opportunity to join group practice with new state of the art ENT clinic and support staff

➢ Use of dedicated state of the art ENT outpatient procedure clinic

➢ On site audiology, SLP services, ICU/PICU support

➢ OR time

➢ Call to be negotiated

Faculty appointment at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) available for qualified applicants. Appointment provides opportunity for teaching residents/medical students and research.

This position is eligible for a very competitive community incentive package, as well as Ontario Ministry of Health incentives offered through the Northern Rural Recruitment & Retention Initiative and the Northern Specialist Alternative Funding Plan.
