This will include responsibility for supporting the development of the Global Theme’s work with the research and impact unit within Save the Children International.The role holder will also be responsible for supporting the development of our thematic capacity (understanding our current capacity and supporting activities to increase it), and for providing general oversight of the health and nutrition communities of practice so that they develop in a coordinated and empowered manner, and so that good practice can be shared. Save the Children’s Health, Nutrition, HIV, and WASH Global Theme (HNGT) provides a framework through which the 30 Save the Children member countries and more than 90 Save the Children program countries align as a network to eliminate preventable child deaths. Through the HNGT Core team the Health and Nutrition Global Theme is responsible for:Establishing the organizations health and nutrition strategic direction, policies and standardsForwarding the organizations health and nutrition Common ApproachesCoordinating the development of the organizations health and nutrition work forceHarmonizing the provision of health and nutrition technical assistance across the organizationEnhancing health and nutrition related learning, knowledge sharing, and communication across the organizationDeveloping and diversifying the organizations health and nutrition funding and,Monitoring and measuring the organizations health and nutrition related reach and impactKEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:Knowledge Platforms: Maintain and support further development the health and nutrition internal intranet site OneNet (SharePoint 2013) and the Knowledge Groups and Communities Group held within Workplace (Facebook for Work). 30%Interface with leadership to understand Global Theme needs and ensure the OneNet (SharePoint) platform serves those needs in an efficient and effective fashionUpdate OneNet content on a regular basis and on-demand, ensuring consistency with editorial, brand, and design specifications. Stay abreast of the latest SharePoint and add-on technology.Build strong relationships with member intranet and IT owners to ensure health and nutrition needs are accommodated within the broader organizational platforms.Work closely with the HNGT Strategy Groups, to facilitate development and utilisation of both OneNet and Workplace sites relevant to their subject matter, and learning agendas.Monitor digital platform performance and usage, produce regular reports and recommendations for improving the OneNet and Workplace experiences.Represent Global Theme interests in broad organizational dialogue around the sharing of content through an external facing platform(s)Knowledge Culture and Communities of Practice: Within the Health and Nutrition Global Theme (HNGT), support creating a culture that generates and shares health and nutrition knowledge: 50%Ensure that Health and Nutrition Global Theme Communities of Practices, facilitated by the HNGT Strategy groups, thrive and support the delivery of our strategic objectives.Working with the HNGT Strategy Groups, to develop and support learning agendas within sub-theme and thematic subject matter, including the identification of key research questions.Supporting HNGT Core team and the Communications Manager to promote appropriate communications solutions to share knowledge, including supporting webinars and social media interaction (both internal and external).Knowledge Data Management: Serve as the core team’s focal point with respect to database development and management and maintenance of key programming databases & dashboards. 20%Support the expansion, utilisation and governance structures of the Health and Nutrition resource library.With support from SCI, customize interactive program dashboards for each health and nutrition sub-thematic area.
