In approximately 60 days a deposit maturity date will occur, which is an important milestone for your segregated fund contract.
Your deposit maturity date is the 10th anniversary of your initial deposit or reset. If you made more than one deposit over a period exceeding one year, you may have multiple deposit maturity dates.
If at the deposit maturity date, the market value of the maturing deposits is less than the guaranteed amount reported below, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada will apply the difference (called the guaranteed benefit) to purchase units of the SunWise CI Money Market Fund under the same guarantee option for you. No action is required on your part. The guaranteed benefit is taxed as a capital gain in a nonregistered contract.

after the date of this notice may impact the date, guaranteed amount and market value of your contract. The market value is
also subject to change due to market fluctuations.
You are not required to take any action if you wish to continue your contract after the deposit maturity date. By maintaining your contract, the deposit guarantee will be automatically reset and a new deposit maturity date will be established.
