Version 2.0, 1/6/2017“Street Guide” with Hundred Block NumbersIntroductionThis information product was derived from the City and County of Denver’s (CCD) Street Centerline GIS Layer. It is being made available for free download as a public service to the citizens of CCD and other interested parties. We expect that this product will be useful as a source of “Street Guide”, or Gazetteer information for personal or business use. It can be used to add another dimension to address-only information. For example, someone looking to find 5525 N Jebel Ct. could see that this street is 20450 E and go to 5500 N and 20450 E on a map to see it’s approximate location.DenverGIS is unable to offer technical support on loading this dataset; WYSIWYG – what you see is what you get. Metadata - Explanation of data file columns:1) Street----------The Standardized, legal name of the street excluding any directional prefixes. The format follows US Postal Service standards, and consists of up to 3 parts:Name – The street nameType – The street type – e.g., AVE, ST, PL.Postmodifier – a qualifying reference. The domain of this item includes: “ACCESS”, “EB”, “FRONTAGE”, “SERVICE”, “SERVICE S” and WB”.2) Hundred--------------The hundred block number of the street. Most values are even 100’s, as might be expected. There are a number of 50’s, and a few with other values, as appropriate.Important note: See Appendix A for a listing of streets with more than one hundred block number.3) Direction--------------The direction of the street. e.g., Colfax Ave is 1500 N, Alameda Ave is 300 S, etc.4) FullName1----------------The first fully qualified name of the street. This includes Street, as described above, and the directional Prefix – N, S, E, W, NE, NW (The latter two referring to streets within the downtown street grid)5) FullName2----------------The second fully qualified name of the street. Similar to FullName1.
