Kennebec Savings Bank has an immediate opening for a full-time Business Innovation Specialist located at our Operations Center.

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This position is responsible for evaluating current business processes and executing strategies designed to improve the Bank's efficiency and use of data. This position will also support the primary duties of the Data Specialist when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Continually evaluate business processes across the organization: Work with the Business Intelligence Manager and leadership to uncover areas for improvement and suggest more efficient and effective ways to implement and deliver solutions to all areas of the Bank.

Assist business units in updating, implementing, and maintaining processes: While reviewing processes and recommending efficiencies, work with department leadership to document procedures and best practices referencing the new efficiencies.

Support business intelligence & innovation initiatives and other strategic projects: Identify and recommend to the Business Intelligence Manager changes or enhancements to systems as appropriate to meet the Bank's needs.

Implement technological/automation programs: Assist with the implementation/installation of new computer operations or enhancements, automation programs and the introduction of new technology to the Bank; assist users in training and implementing various aspects of new systems (e.g., report preparation) as necessary.

Refer problems or unusual situations to the Business Intelligence Manager for resolution.

Comply with all Bank policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Meet or exceed established objectives and standards for Business Innovation Specialist performance.

Support Bank products/services: Maintain knowledge of current KSB products and services. Actively utilize as many Bank products and services as possible in order to fully understand their features and benefits and to be able to communicate effectively with Bank employees and customers.

Talk to customers and listen for "cues and clues" to determine needs; respond to customer inquiries and evaluate their needs; suggest Bank products/services to customers to meet their needs; make referrals to other Bank personnel as appropriate.

Community/public relations: Actively participate in community organizations and events. Represent the Bank in the community.

Other outside activities: Actively participate in industry trade group meetings and educational programs to remain abreast of current issues and requirements affecting Bank operations and job performance.

Committees: Participate in the Bank's meetings and committees as required.

Other duties: Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality. Work at other Bank branches as needed for customer service, operational, or training purposes. Attend and participate in Bank meetings. Attend internal and external training to improve skills and knowledge relevant to the position.

POSITIONS REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

? Bachelor's degree, with a concentration in relevant major, and/or equivalent work experience.

? 3 to 5 years' of progressively more responsible experience in financial services or banking industry data processing operations, or equivalent in education and work experience.

? Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills. ? Good analytical and conceptual thinking skills; willingness to pick up technical skills. ? Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. ? Computer literate, preferably with experience in Excel, Access, SQL, Crystal,

enterprise content management, and/or similar applications and services; programming and network experience desirable.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

? Must possess a valid driver's license, the use of a serviceable automobile that is properly registered and proper liability automobile insurance as required by state law.

? Must be able to lift boxes of checks, statements or other computer supplies of approximately 20 pounds.

? Must be able to read and work with computer print-out reports. ? Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time while waiting on

customers. ? Must be able to spend extended periods of time operating a computer keyboard

and working at a computer monitor. ? Must be able use the telephone to converse with customers for extended periods of

time; must be able to communicate clearly by telephone; must have good listening ability and skills. ? Must be able to climb stairs. ? Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills. ? Must be able to prioritize and organize work flow; must have good attention to detail; must be able to handle multiple jobs. ? Must have the ability to think through a problem, following proper steps in finding resolution. ? Must have a high degree of ethics and maintain confidentiality of customers and accounts. ? Must be friendly, courteous and sensitive to the needs of customers and coworkers.
