University Associate Certified Risk Manager (UACRM) Designation

Brought to you by: Your University and The National Alliance for Insurance

Education & Research

University Course + CRM Principles exam = UACRM n UACRM + 3 = CRM

Did you know...

... Your current Risk Management and Insurance courses can translate into a professional designation!

What it is:

The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, in partnership with your university, has developed the University Associate Certified Risk Manager (UACRM) designation for university students, which not only provides a designation before you graduate, but gives you a significant head start on earning the prestigious, international Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation.

How it works for you:

If you successfully complete the University Course, you will receive automatic credit for the Financing of Risk course of the CRM designation. If you then sit for and pass the national exam for the CRM Principles of Risk Management course before graduation (thereby completing two of the five CRM courses) you will be a designated UACRM. University Course + CRM Principles exam = UACRM

Upon graduation, with your UACRM and two CRM courses behind you, you are well on your way to becoming a Certified Risk Manager. UACRM + 3 = CRM

The five-part CRM Program is recognized as the most practical education in the risk management industry, and demonstrates real-world knowledge in the following areas: Principles of Risk Management, Analysis of Risk, Control of Risk, Financing of Risk, and Practice of Risk Management.

What will the UACRM designation do for me?

This is a great opportunity to obtain a risk management professional designation before ever leaving college. With this designation after your name, and on your resum?, potential employers and clients can recognize the level of your accomplishments. It's a definite advantage over other recent college graduates who may be competing for the same jobs.

UACRM is a career springboard--a designation that will set you apart from your peers. You will enter the job market more prepared for life with a solid, practical foundation for a career in risk management.

Getting Started:

n Register for the UACRM Program through your university faculty.

n Complete the University Course with a passing grade. (You will need to submit a simple form signed by your professor stating that you have passed the course. Formal transcripts are not required.)

n Complete a second CRM course and receive a passing grade on the exam.

t This second course can be completed while you are taking the approved risk management course using the support material that The National Alliance provides. Your professor will help to mentor you through this part of the process.

? or-

t Attend an open registration course offering of CRM.

n Receive your designation at the state conferment (optional) where you will have a chance to receive recognition for your efforts and network with Risk Management and insurance professionals.
