Job Summary:The Human Resource Development Supervisor will oversee and manage training, learning, and development programs including mandatory compliance training initiatives. Supervisory Responsibilities:May hire, train, and oversee training administrators and related staff.May oversee scheduling, assignments, and the daily workflow of training administrators and/or consultants.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.Duties/Responsibilities:Evaluates the effectiveness of the organization’s training programs and recommends areas of improvement.Reviews training needs; modifies or improves existing programs or develops new training programs to meet those needs.Through collaboration with management, identifies anticipated training needs based on human resource initiatives, legal and regulatory changes, career development needs, and other anizes and conducts orientation sessions and coordinates on-the-job training for new and transferred employees.Uses classroom training and demonstration methods, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops to plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs. Coordinates or performs compliance training and personal development classes for staff members.Conducts training for instructors and supervisors on techniques and skills to manage and teach their employees. Coordinates and assigns mandatory training across the organization.Creates, further develops, and organizes educational materials such as manuals and multimedia visual aids.Creates and/or administers post-training evaluations, tests, and assessments.Provides guidance on the organization’s training requirements and responsibilities including required compensation and accommodations under federal and state employment laws including Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and other employment, health, or safety statutes and programs.Prepares and implements training budget.Performs other duties as assigned. Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Thorough understanding of labor and employment laws related to training and development.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.At least three years of related experience required.SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. ................
