Change of Major Students should take Bio/Chem courses in this order:

(The following majors receive priority to take these classes: U/U, Bio Sci, Pharm Sci and Public Health Sci)

Freshman Sophomore

Fall Chem 1A

Bio 93 Psychology

Bio 97 Chem 51A Philosophy General Education

Winter Chem 1B

Bio 94 Sociology General Education

Bio 98 Bio E109 Chem 51B Chem 51LB Statistics

Spring Chem 1C Chem 1LC Public Health General Education Bio Sci D170 Bio M122 Bio M118L (or Summer) General Education

Summer Chem 1LD (or next Fall)

Bio E112L Bio M118L (OPTION)

All Change of Major applicants must complete the Nursing Science Supplemental Application by November 30. To apply you need to email nssao@uci.edu to request an application beginning October 1st and submit your completed application to our office no later than November 30th. You will be notified of your admission prior to the start of winter quarter. Students must meet ALL of the following requirements at the time of application:

? Completion of Chem 1A-B-C OR Chem H2A-B-C with a "C" grade or better. ? Completion of at least two of the following courses: Psychology 7A or Psychology and Social Behavior 9*; Sociology 1*; Public Health 1; Philosophy 4 or

5; Statistics 7 or 8*, with a "C" grade or better. See prerequisite section for accepted alternatives: ? Completion or current enrollment in Bio Sci 97 and Chem 51A. ? A 2.75 average in ALL courses completed that fulfill requirements for the Nursing Science major. ? All required Bio & Chem courses must be taken at UCI. Non-science required courses taken at another institution must be completed with a "B" or

better.

After applying, and if you are admitted to the Nursing Science major, you will be authorized to enroll in and complete Bio E109 in winter quarter, and Bio M122, Bio M118L, Bio D170 in spring at UCI. Bio E112L can be taken in summer. All of the above prerequisites must be completed prior to entering the upper division Nursing Science courses in Fall.
