Before the call
Schedule calls with just a couple clicks
From Outlook In your calendar, click New Teams Meeting in the Home top ribbon. Boom -- a link to your call automatically pops up in the invite!
From Teams Click Calendar on the left side bar, then Schedule a meeting. Done.
Send an invite to any email, even if it's outside your organization. Attendees with a Microsoft 365 subscription may connect through their own Teams app. Those without Microsoft 365 or Teams will get an email invite to be a guest through their web browser.*
During the call
Apply Background Effects Not in the most professional environment? Hide your surroundings in an instant with background blur or customized background.
Screen Share Share content on your screen without giving up privacy. Pick up exactly what window, application, or screen to show participants.
Chat Seamlessly send messages within the call. Drop a note, share interview materials, or send a link at any time before, during or after your Teams meeting.
Translate Chat in more than 30 languages with one-click translation under the ellipses at the top of each message.
Live Captions Having a hard time hearing what's being said? Turn on live captions to view closed captioning on your screen at any point in the conversation.
Record and Transcribe Record and transcribe the whole call so you never miss a detail. Just click Start recording audio/video + transcript or Start transcription transcript
only under the ellipses ... at the top of your screen. All participants will
see a notice that the meeting is being recorded or transcribed. You can end recording and/or transcription manually, or it will automatically stop when all participants leave the meeting. When the meeting is over, the recording and/or transcript are made immediately available in the meeting details accessible through the event on your Teams calendar or the meeting chat.
