One of these mandatory leaves is the Time Off to Vote leave. Employees who are scheduled to work during the time that polls are open (7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) are allowed to take up to 2 hours off to vote, without losing any pay. Employees are entitled to take as much time as needed to vote, only 2 hours are required to be paid. Employees are permitted to take this time off at the beginning or end of their regular shift, whichever allows for the most free time for voting- unless the employee makes another arrangement with their employer. Employees are required to notify their employer of this need for leave at least 2 working days before the election. If you have questions or concerns about this leave, including requirements to post information about this leave, please contact your Human Resources department or other responsible management. Here's to voting and to democracy! In gratitude, [Organization Signature] ................
