ANNOUNCEMENTS

1) The Idaho State Service Rifle Championships and the Idaho State High Power Championships will be held in the western part of the state.

2) F-Class competition will be governed by current NRA High Power Rifle rules. See information at .

3) Those who plan on shooting most of this year’s matches would be money ahead to join the Unified Sportsmen’s Club ($60 per year, which also includes family or $40 per year individual), and reduce the per match fee from $25 to $20, seniors pay $15, and grand seniors pay $10.

4) Mid Range Rifle matches will entail 300, 500, and 600 yards with 2 convertible sighters, and 20 shots for record at each yard line with a time of 22 minutes. Two classes of High Power Rifle will be competing for awards, Any Rifle/Iron Sight and F-Class. AR tactical can have up to a 15 power scope, rounds must feed from the magazine, folding bipods or improvised rest (i.e. daypack). This will make it so that a wide range of High Power Rifles can be used.

5) Fullbore Rifle matches will entail 300, 500, 600 yards pair firing (two on the mount); 2 convertible sighting shots and 10 shots for record at each yard line. Relays 1 & 3 will be the shooter on the right. Relays 2 & 4 will be the shooter on the left. Each shooter will be expected to fire within 45 seconds from the time the previous score is accepted. 900 or 1000 yard firing will consist of 2 convertible sighting shots and 15 shots for record: 22.5 minutes time limit, string firing.

6) The Military Bolt Action Rifle Match will be fired with any original configuration US or foreign military bolt action rifles equipped with iron sights. Period competition related modifications are allowed. Approximately 16 sighters and 50 rounds for record will be fired in about 5 stages including slow and rapid fire in standing, sitting, and/or prone positions. Ranges will be 300 yards or less and moving targets may be included. The exact course of fire will be agreed upon by the shooters at the start of the match.

2019 NRA Approved High Power Rifle and High Power Long Range Matches

Dates: As defined in the Match Programs

Time: Registration: 7:30AM to 8:15AM – Shooting 8:30 a.m.

Location: Unified Sportsmen’s Club Range- Eight miles west of Rexburg, Idaho on

Highway 33.

Fees: $20/Match – Current members of the Unified Sportsmen’s Club

$25/Match – Non Members

$15/Match – Juniors and Seniors

$10/Match – Grand Seniors

Rules: Current NRA High Power Rules.

Entry Restrictions: Anyone may enter. Individuals under the age of 18 must be under the

direct supervision of an adult. NRA membership is recommended but not

required.

Classification: NRA classification will be used. Classes with less than three shooters will

be combined with the next higher class.

Rifle Requirements: Service Rifle or NRA Match Rifle as defined by current NRA High Power

Rifle rules will be used for the 800 matches. Any Rifle or F-Class

as defined by Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules for Mid Range or Long

Range Matches. Fullbore will use an iron sighted rifle chambered for the unmodified 7.62X51MM or commercial .308 Winchester cartridge or a rifle chambered for the unmodified 5.56MM or commercial .223 Remington cartridge. Any safe trigger is acceptable. Fullbore F-Class: Rifles and rest must comply with rules 3.4 & 3.4.1.

Awards: Match Winner and the winners of each class having 3 or more shooters

will be awarded. Second place in classes having 5 or more shooters, third

place in classes having 8 or more shooters, and High Junior will be

awarded. Awards for matches will be a combination of trophies, prizes, NRA award points, or cash equivalent.

Lodging: The Unified Sportsmen’s Club will open the facility for camping, accessibility in the clubhouse, and trailer hook-ups for electricity. For information call Kari Frisbey at 208-681-2977.

All matches will require the use of open bolt indicators. All matches, whether Approved, Registered or Club, will be conducted using the latest NRA rule book.

Long Range Matches (1000)

Dates: April 27, May 11, June 8, and August 10

Stage 1: Any Rifle/Any Sight or F-Class- 1,000 yards, unlimited sighters, 20 rounds for record, 30 minutes, prone slow fire. Coaching allowed during the sighter stage. The shooter may or may not take their sighters but must tell their scorer if they are not taking their sighters.

Stage 2: Any Rifle/Any Sight or F-Class- 1,000 yards, 2 sighters, 20 rounds for record, 22 minutes, prone slow fire. Coaching not allowed during the sighter stage. The shooter may or may not take their sighters but must tell their scorer if they are not taking their sighters.

may not take their sighters but must tell their scorer if they are not taking their sighters.

Stage 2: Any Rifle/ Iron Sight or F-Class- 500 yards, 2 convertible sighters, 20 rounds for record, 22

minutes, prone slow fire. Coaching not allowed during the sighter stage. The shooter may or

may not take their sighters but must tell their scorer if they are not taking their sighters.

Stage 3: Any Rifle /Iron Sight or F-Class-600 yards, 2 convertible sighters, 20 rounds for record, 22

minutes, prone slow fire. Coaching not allowed during the sighter stage. The shooter may or

Fullbore Matches (300, 500, 600, and 900 or 1000)

Dates: May 4, May 18

Stage 1, 2, 3: Iron Sight Rifle or F-Class – 300, 500, 600 yards pair firing (two on the mound); 2 convertible

sighters and 10 shots for record at each yard line. Relay 1 & 3 will be the shooter on the right;

Relay 2 & 4 will be the shooter on the left. Each shooter will be expected to fire within 45

CLUB TOURNAMENTS

800 Matches

Dates: June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7, and October 5

Stage 1: Two sighters and 20 record rounds slow fire standing at 200 yards, 22 minutes.

Stage 2: Two sighters and two rapid-fire strings of 10 record rounds fired sitting at 200 yards, 60 seconds

per string.

Stage 3: Two sighters and two rapid fire strings of 10 record rounds fired prone at 300 yards, 70 seconds per string.

Stage 4: Two sighters and 20 record rounds slow fire prone at 600 yards, 22 minutes.

Military Bolt Action

Date: September 14

Stage 1: Approximately 16 sighters and 50 rounds for record will be fired in about 5 stages including slow and rapid fire in standing, sitting, and/or prone positions. Ranges will be 300 yards or less and moving targets may be included. The exact course of fire will be agreed upon by the shooters at the start of the match
