Life's Most Important Questions Part 1

Scriptures

? 1 John 1:1

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life--

? 2 Peter 1:18 and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

Other Scriptures

? Matthew 7:13-14 ? Romans 11:1-5 ? Genesis 6:6-18 ? Acts 7:59 ? John 14:6

Main Points

? Modern culture says that everyone must be politically tolerant or correct. Moreover, there is no absolute right and wrong when it comes to religion, sexuality, etc.

? Culture is dictating that to say Jesus is the only way to heaven is not being tolerant. That it is being judgmental and hateful.

? Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

? The Bible does not teach that everyone is in relationship and good standing with God. ? There is a remnant that is followers of Jesus. See the account of Noah (Gen. 6:6-18 and Rom.

11:1-5). ? Historians all agree that there was a man names Yeshua (Jesus) that lived on earth approximately

2000 years ago. There is too much archeological evidence for anyone to deny this. ? Jesus was and is LORD. ? A prophet would not make the bold claims that Jesus made. "I am the only way to the Father!" ? Alexander the Great was written about 100 years past his death and no one questions the accuracy

of the account of Alexander the Great. ? The accounts of Jesus were written by people that were actually with Him. How much more

accurate are these accounts of Jesus than that of Alexander the Great?
