Before the Fair
Review the list of college that will be at the fair (should be available online) Print out address label with the following information:
Your Name, Address, Email, Cell Number (if you agree to receive text messages) and Graduation Year. This way you can simply place one of your labels on the college information card at each booth. List the schools you want to meet Check the schedule for information sessions Make a list of questions that you would like to ask the college representatives
Sample Questions
Admissions
What are the admission requirements? Are there different requirements for particular majors? Which standardized tests do you require? What majors are offered and what are the most popular majors? Are interviews required? Once I apply, how long before I will hear a decision?
Financial Aid
What is the total cost to attend your college? (tuition, room & board, fees) What is your financial aid deadline? Are there any other forms I need to complete other than the FAFSA? What percentage of students receive scholarships, grants, work study and/or loans?
Classroom
Average class size? Accessibility of professors outside of class time? When do I need to declare my major? May I also declare a minor? What student services are offered? (tutoring, career counseling, internship placement)

Classroom
What percentage of students are employed upon graduation? Is there a Honors Program? Are internships available?
Housing
Types of housing available? Are students required to live on campus their first year? Is student housing guaranteed for four years?
Student Life
What special interest groups, activities, Greek life are available? What is the campus like on the weekends? Are there intramural, club and varsity sports?
General
What is the college known for? What percent of freshman students return sophomore year? Safety of the campus and surrounding area? What percent of students graduate in 4 years?
During the Fair
Place one of your premade labels on each college information card Get the college representatives card or contact information After you visit your designated colleges visit as many other colleges as possible
After the Fair
Research the colleges that you are interested in Send an email or hand written note to the college representative from your colleges of interest, thanking them for their time
You are ready!
