PETSCHEL HOUSE OPEN WEEKEND SHEEPVENTION RURAL EXPO

A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN

Petschel House will be open during the three day Hamilton Sheepvention Rural Expo this year. Whilst visiting Hamilton; or if a local with visitors in need of a break from Sheepvention activities, come out for an afternoon walk around our extensive gardens and orchards and visit our fine art Gallery.

Sunday kicks off with the Wool Fashion Parade brunch, the Kids Muster Trail, New Innovations and Careers Hub plus live music, food and wine tastings and over 500 trade displays across 12 hectares. Competitions run throughout the Expo including the Victoria Farm Dogs, Sheep Show, Fodder & Grain and Inventions Competitions culminating in Tuesday's prestigious Ram Sale.

In Sentient Theatre's inaugural piece, we celebrate the beautiful literacy and conceptual genius of Virginia Woolf, one of the greatest writers of the 20th Century, and her classic work, 'A Room of One's Own'. The piece both energetically debates and gently reflects on the history of gender disparity, while keeping Woolf's striking use of metaphor and charming humour alive. .
