2020 SPRING CLEAN-UPS ARE ON APRIL 6 & 7

If your regular garbage pick-up day is Monday, your clean-up will be Monday, April 6. If your regular garbage pick-up day is Tuesday, your clean-up day will be Tuesday, April 7. In addition, you can schedule an individual pick-up at your convenience by calling Waste Management at (510) 613-8710.

Clean-up Guidelines Please place bulky items on the curb before 6 a.m. on the day

of your clean-up The total amount of bulky waste is limited to two cubic yards

or 16 large trash bags per household All loose bulky waste items must be bagged or boxed No bulky waste setouts more than 24 hours prior to pick-up No bulky waste items over 75 lbs. (except for appliances) No bulky waste items over 6 feet tall

Acceptable Items Bundled or bagged bulky waste items - will be landfilled (trash cans will not be returned) Household appliances - will be recycled Tires - will be recycled Mattresses - will be recycled TV's and computers - will be recycled Yard waste - will be composted (branches & wood must not exceed 4 ft. long or 6 in. in diameter; branches & tree limbs must be bundled; clean, untreated, unpainted wood only)

Items not accepted Items over 6 feet Items over 75 lbs. Wet garbage, rocks, dirt or concrete Hazardous waste or toxic materials Batteries of any kind or other automobile parts

Household Hazardous Waste It is unlawful to place hazardous waste, including batteries, compact fluorescent light bulbs and cell phones, in your trash container. Alameda County has a free drop-off facility in Oakland where you can safely dispose of hazardous materials, such as paint, pesticides and solvents. Batteries and fluorescent bulbs are accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. For more information visit household- or call (800) 606-6606.
