This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Java/Calypso Software Engineer to work with a team that maintains and supports ASX Markets OTC & ETD Clearing Services.

You will be focusing on developing and delivering high quality software solutions that will have a major impact on ASX systems.

You will be working in a cross-functional agile environment that requires collaboration across the domain, business stakeholders, project team members and broader engineering team.

This role will suit a strong, experienced Java engineer who has a record of accomplishment of successful delivery.

What you'll do:

Be part of a cross-functional team planning, designing, creating, enhancing, testing, implementing and documenting new and existing system features

Collaborate in reviews of design and code with others as appropriate such that features meet specified functional and non-functional requirements

Uphold application integrity by ensuring that work is compatible with agreed system architectures, adheres to corporate standards, upholds quality, ensures security and confirms that system management requirements are within performance tolerances

Working with Calypso in Clearing Scenarios, customising workflows, scheduled tasks, creating reports Responsible for estimations, risks, mitigations and escalations to team lead.

What you've done:

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Experience with application lifecycle management tools such as Atlassian product suite, including JIRA

Confluence and Stash. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills FpML and SQL relational database experience

 Experience in Agile delivery methodology Experience in enterprise application development within Capital Markets or Exchange environment Extensive experience in building transactional, critical business applications 4+ years as a Java Developer working with Calypso with a strong understanding of Calypso architecture

And if you've got some of this, even better:

DevOps and Continuous Integration tools CICD (GoCD/Gitlab, Ansible, Nexus) Automated Testing Tools (Spring, Maven, Helm, Sonarqube) B.S. and / or M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
