As we study the essays, keep in mind that you will be asked to write a personal essay of your own (rough copy due November 25th, and final copy due November 27). Use the essays that we study as examples and inspiration, both for content and style.

In preparation for your essay, write a piece of approximately 250w following our discussion of two of the first four essays. Identify, at the top of each piece, the stylistic techniques that you plan to experiment with. Consider each piece an initial draft leading to a possible essay and include them all as part of the process work when you submit your polished work.
