IB Aims- Appreciate the range of human and environmental commonalities and diversities
Task: Your final project for this unit is to create an informative website, in which you use the 5 Themes of Geography and the elements of culture to describe a place you’ve never been. You may pick an entire country or a just a single city, but it cannot be somewhere you have already visited. You will research your chosen place with at least two sources (one must be a book) and then create a website in which you use the 5 themes of geography and elements of culture to describe the place.

❖ Human and Environment Interaction - describe how humans modify, adapt to, or depend on their environment in at least one paragraph. How are people constrained by their environment and how do they adapt to those constraints?
Movement – pick two of the following aspects of movement and describe them in a paragraph or two. How do people, goods, and ideas move and how might that enrich a culture but also create tensions between people?

• You must turn in a paper bibliography/works cited page in MLA format
** Note – To get to the highest levels of the rubric you must go beyond just basic descriptions. You need to explain why these themes are significant to the place you are describing and how they truly impact the lives of the people, the environment, etc of that place. Also correct grammar is very important!!
