What God’s Word Says…

James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who

gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

Matthew 4:19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

Romans 8:28-29 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love

him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God

foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son,

that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”

The ______________ of evangelism is not the key! The important aspect is God’s

love and our love for all people.

People Matter To God! (Seeing people through God’s eyes)

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever

believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:6-8 “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for

the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good

man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love

for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

How much did God care about us? ______________________________________________

Question for Thought?

How should we value all people?

The Story of Zacchaeus: Luke 19:1-9

Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a 'sinner.'" But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

Styles of Evangelism

1. A_________________ - John 14:23-24

Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

2. N_________________ - Psalm 139:13-16

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

3. P_________________

4. V_________________ - Romans 1:16-18, 10:14

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness…. (10:14) How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

God can use your evangelistic _____________; God can’t use your silence!

5. P___________________ -- ______________________

6. T___________________ -- ______________________ Luke 15:7,10

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (10) In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

7. P__________________________________________________ - Matthew 20:28

“...the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

HP + CP + CC = MI

HP = High ___________

CP = Close _____________

CC= _____________ Communication

MI = Maximum ____________

1. High Potency

Matthew 5:13a, 14b “You are the salt of the earth…. You are the light of the world.”

What are some characteristics of salt & light?

Salt: _____________________________ Light: ________________________________

2. Close Proximity

Matthew 9:9-13

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow

me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's

house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees

saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" On

hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this

means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching

them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you

always, to the very end of the age."

What does this mean for me? _____________________________________________
