Ebix CEO Robin Raina rings Opening Bell at the Bombay Stock Exchange

Ebix, Inc., a leading international supplier of On-Demand software and E-commerce services to the insurance, financial, egovernance and healthcare industries, announced that its CEO Robin Raina rang the opening bell today at the Bombay Stock Exchange, underlining the company's expansion plans in the Indian market.

Robin lit the welcome lamp and rang the opening bell to start the trading for the oldest stock exchange in Asia. BSE Managing Director and CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan also felicitated Robin with a BSE momento to mark this occasion.

The event is an acknowledgment of Ebix's commitment to invest in India and endorses Ebix CEO Robin Raina's vision of strengthening the Indian government's efforts to work for the betterment of education and healthcare in the country. It is also an acknowledgement of Robin's efforts over the last two decades, to improve the lives of the underprivileged in India.

Recently, the company took many steps to expand its Indian operations that are already approximately 2,000 employees strong, while floating two joint ventures and foraying into the sectors of healthcare, egovernance and education. Even as he lays down the vision for Ebix's growth in India, Robin Raina is busy building homes for the homeless in India. Robin Raina Foundation (RRF), a charitable organization, is building 6,000 free homes for slum dwellers in Delhi, India, without any financial support from the Government or any other agency.

Robin's foundation is also supporting the education of thousands of under-privileged kids across the country through schools where education, medical care, mid-day meals and clothing are imparted free of any cost. The foundation also supports all underprivileged kids passing out of the Blind Relief Association School in Delhi, financially and morally, through the Master's program in top schools like St. Stephens, Hindu College, Ramjas College, Delhi University etc.
