Apply RULE #6 – Use commas to set off and enclose an appositive.

appositive = a specific kind of interrupter that explains or defines the noun it follows.

Example: Ben Smith, the captain of my soccer team, is in my English class.

Combine these sentences using an appositive. Be sure to place the commas in the correct places.

1. Calvin Klein is a well known designer.

He created this style.
