The Wythe-Bland Foundation Scholarship Program will provide
full tuition and fees (after all financial aid and other scholarship
funds are applied) for qualified Wythe and Bland County High
School graduates to attend Wytheville Community College.
To qualify, you must:
? Provide proof of residence in Wythe or Bland County for at least the two years prior to graduation
? Have attended a public or private high school in Wythe or Bland County for at least your junior and senior years
OR ? Have completed a GED by the
graduation date of your original graduating class* OR ? Have been a home-schooled student*
*GED and home-schooled students are eligible for the program provided they meet WCC entrance requirements and other scholarship eligibility requirements.
WCC students volunteering at the Santa Shop
To apply, you must:
? Complete an Application for Admission to Wytheville Community College;
? Provide an official high school transcript; ? Complete a current FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form and
have a completed financial aid file; ? Complete the WCC Scholarship Application and apply for other available schol-
arships or grants that may be available to the recipient, including those available through WCC: wcc.vccs.edu/wcc-scholarship-application ? Enroll in a degree/diploma/certificate or an approved non-credit workforce development short-term training program.
When you receive a scholarship, you must:
? Complete 40 hours of volunteer service (20 each semester) with an approved agency by the end of the second semester; and
? Achieve a 2.0 grade point average by the end of the second semester and complete 67% of all attempted classes to continue receiving the scholarship for the second year.
