Romans 11:25?How do we know we are living in the last days?? Aside from negative effects of sin being unleashed and amplified across the planet, there is the 'body of Christ' itself as a testimony to the times in which we live.?Theologians and Bible scholars have long debated what exactly the 'fullness of the Gentiles' meant, as both pertaining to the partial blindness put on national Israel, and to how that tied into the coming of our Lord.? Some teach that it was a total number of believers who are brought into the body of Christ, while others teach that the fullness means the cross representation of all the tribes, peoples and tongues who would eventually be brought into the body of Christ.? While I believe that both of these encompass parts of the true meaning of the word 'fullness' (Greek-pleroma), I believe we stop unnecessarily short with just the numbers and types of Gentiles who make up the body of Christ. ?In Romans, Paul address the doctrines of wrath, grace, salvation, and election.? So towards the end of Romans (chapters 9-11), Paul then shifts his focus to address what was to become of the Jewish people.? In that, Paul warns the Gentiles, of which he was given the ministry towards, that they shouldn't think more of themselves than the Jewish people because God still had a plan for them. ?Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable...Romans 11:28-32?We see initially that the Gentiles were in disobedience and are only brought in to that place of promise (Rom. 11:19-24) because the Jews rejected their Messiah.? Their rejection, opened the doorway of salvation to all.? But through the mercy shown to the Gentiles, this will one day come full circle and bring about the reconciliation of the nation of Israel back to God, to whom the covenants and promises of an earthly kingdom would be given. (Zech. 12:10-14; 14:16-21)?Although the Old Testament does mention that salvation would come to the Gentiles, it was neither explained nor expounded upon.? Remember, during Christ's ministry here on earth, He initially told His disciples to NOT go unto the Gentiles, but only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (Matt. 10:5-6; 15:24)? The OT Prophets and even Christ's disciples likely thought that salvation would come to the Gentiles after the Kingdom was established, when Israel would become the light of the world to the nations, since up until that point, were the only ones who worshipped the true God. (Exodus 19:5-6, Isaiah 2:2-4; 49:6, Amos 9:12)?So even the forty days after Christ's resurrection, the disciples still asked if it was at that time, that He would restore the Kingdom to Israel, presumably so that they might carry out the 'Great Commission'. (Matt. 28:18-20, Luke 24:46-52, Acts 1:6)?? ?But it was God's plan, that the Apostle Paul would be the one in whom was given the revelation to explain and expound upon the mystery of Christ and His Church.? He then deep dives into the mystery of what exactly the Church is, and what is to come, primarily in his epistles to the Colossians and Ephesians. ?Looking at the breadth and depth of the revelation that was given to Paul, we know that he likened Christians to that of adopted sons, heirs, the body and bride of Christ.? These are terms we use frequently today, without much thought as to exactly what the Holy Spirit was leading Paul to write.? It is to the body that I believe the 'fullness of the Gentiles' seemingly refers too;?And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.? Eph. 4:11-16 (ESV)?Assessment?Just as a person grows from infancy into adulthood, so too, must the 'body of Christ' grow until it reaches its maturity...which is not just physical maturity wrought about by time.? Even though one may grow physically, we all know or at least are familiar with the idea, as in cases of mental retardation, or perhaps some debilitating disease or illness, that one may have the body of an adult, but the mind of a child.? I would take this a step further and say, that a majority of professing Christians today, suffer from spiritual infancy syndrome.? This is where they become believers, but do not mature much beyond that for most of their lives.? At least, that is where I spent about 20 years.?From a personal perspective, spiritual retardation, can be both a sin issue, and a theological issue.? If it is the former, God deals with the believer to overcome those hindrances that prevent us from reaching our full potential primarily through chastening, because sin prevents a believer from reaching their full potential of reaching that 'fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ'.? If it is the latter, God draws those believers who will heed the call, either out of bad doctrinal teachings, or towards sound biblical teachings, which spiritual growth.? IOW, if a believer holds to certain doctrinal errors as true, despite their growth in other arenas of understanding, they will never reach that 'mature manhood'.?Not only does this happen at a personal level, but I also believe that this also occurs generationally.? If one were to look back over the past two millennia of the Church since the first century, we will see the ebbs and flows of spiritual growth and understanding.? Caveat to this, is that the truth of Scripture has been there all along, but either the times in which people live, or events have not yet transpired, for them to pick up on those already written truths.?The writers, prophets, and apostles who were given the responsibility and the progressive revelation to write our canon of Scripture, ended with the Apostle John about 96AD, with the Revelation of Jesus Christ.? Since then, humanity and Christendom in particular, was left with progressive illumination.? That is to say, certain truths (already in Scripture), come to the forefront and stand out to certain people in a way that it connects. ?As much as Habakkuk 2:4 prompted Martin Luther to grasp the error of the Roman Catholic Church, so too did other passages speak to men along the way, to grow up (doctrinally speaking), into 'mature manhood', so that we are not 'tossed about' by shifting winds of doctrine and the trickeries of men.? And this, did not happen, until the Dispensationalist movement began in earnest, under John Nelson Darby.?John N. Darby, did not 'create' dispensationalism as a system of thought as he is often accused of doing.? The idea that God moved men through different ages or stages, was a concept held by many long before Darby came along.? What John N. Darby did do, was codify this thought into an organized theological movement that centered it's foundation on a return to the literal, historical, grammatical, understanding of ALL Scripture.? The Reformers may have made a positive step in the right direction three centuries earlier, but fell short in part, because they did not include ALL Scripture.? Thus, they carried over Roman Catholic eschatology with them.? (Baggage fraught with error).?So let us recap some teachings many are already familiar with in the New Testament:?That Christ Himself would build (future tense) His Church. (Matt. 16:16-19)?1. Although the Gospel of the Kingdom was not shared with the Gentiles during Christ's earthly ministry, (Matt. 10:5-6; 15:24), Israel's rejection of her Messiah, opened up the door of salvation to all.2. The Apostle Paul, a former Pharisee, was given the ministry to the Gentiles (Gal. 2:8, Rom. 15:15-16, 2 Tim. 1:11), and he was given personal, progressive revelation directly from Christ, specifically about the Church and the mysteries surrounding this new body of believers .(Gal. 1:11-12, Eph. 3:8)3. That the Church was mystery (musterion) hidden in Christ, never revealed until it was given to Paul to reveal. (Col. 1:26, Eph. 3:9; 5:32)4. Although there were three categories of people now; Jews, Gentiles, and the Church. (1 Cor. 10:32), there is neither Jew nor Gentile, male nor female, slave nor free, INSIDE the body of Christ. (Gal. 3:28)5.That the Church would be united as one, in Christ (1 Cor. 12:13-14) and would make up the corporate, multi-membered body of Christ. (Col. 1:18, 1 Cor. 12:12)?So the fullness not only encapsulates the total number, and total diversity of Gentile believers brought into the body of Christ, but also the maturity, by which the body obtains the 'fullness of the measure of the stature' of Christ.? This maturity, driven first by the revelation until the canon of scripture closed, is followed by progressive illumination, which God leads men to focus on, according to the times they live in. ?Sir Isaac Newton, one of the most brilliant, scientific minds to ever live, was fascinated by Bible Prophecy.? In fact, he seemingly spent more time studying that, than he did in his scientific endeavors.? But he once stated...?". . . since the commandment to return precedes the Messiah . . . it may perhaps come forth not from the Jews themselves, but from some other kingdom friendly to them, and precede their return from captivity and give occasion to it. . . . The manner I know not. Let time be the interpreter" (Franz Kobler, "Newton on the Restoration of the Jews," The Jewish Frontier, 1943, from Newton's Yahuda Manuscript, quoted in Moore, p.493).?By this, Newton in the 17th century, understood, according to Bible prophecy, that the Jews would once again return to their ancestral homeland before Christ returned.? He understood the basic outline of things that would have to come to pass, but he did not live to see them come to fruition.? Thus, he was in a way, like the prophets of old...who foretold of the coming Messiah, but did not see how and when exactly God would bring this about;?Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-things which angels desire to look into.????????????????????? ?1 Peter 1:10-12?And so God plants us in the times we live in, and uses us and our gifted abilities, to speak to the things the Holy Spirit leads us to speak to.? Whether you are Polycarp, or Martin Luther, we each address where mankind is in the times in which we live.? It is to another quote from Newton I will conclude with...?"About the time of the end, a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the Prophecies, and insist upon their literal interpretation, in the midst of much clamor and opposition."?And thus, he may have been predicting the Dispensationalist movement some 100 years later, who would insist upon a literal understanding of all Scripture...and this for sure, has brought about much 'clamor and opposition' from the rest of professing Christendom.?Conclusion? So while I attribute the Dispensationalist movement to be that final, maturing process for Christianity as a whole, at least from a theological perspective, we have now moved into the 'post-Christian' phase of the age where Dispensational teachings and doctrine are mocked and rejected.? This is where, the knowledge has been put forth, understood, debated, tested, confirmed...and yet increasingly rejected, in order to accommodate a world that is increasingly regressing back into a state of spiritual and moral lawlessness.? A significant portion of professing Christian denominations are caving on a number of moral and spiritual issues, which only emboldens those who hate Christ and the Cross.?So, in keeping with the model of the Seven Churches as found in Revelation 2-3, we see the final stages playing out before our eyes, and know, that the last church age, is that of the lukewarm, nauseating church in whom Christ spews out of His mouth.? The only upside to the tragedy of it all, is the Rapture of the true Church, which removes us from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.? We are removed before the very hour, meaning, just prior to the world being plunged into the worst period of wrath and judgment it has, or will ever know.?Heaven's Timing and the Nuclear Deal with Iran - By Rivkah Lambert Adler - ??"Behold a people is coming from the north, and a great nation and great kings shall be aroused from the ends of the earth." (Jeremiah 50:41)?The Iran Nuclear Deal was signed on July 14, 2015 by the P5+1 - a group comprised of representatives of the governments of the US, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany - and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This date falls during a particularly significant time in the Jewish calendar known as The Three Weeks.?The Three Weeks are a mourning period that the Jewish people observe each year for the destruction of the Holy Temples in Jerusalem. The period starts on the 17th of the Hebrew month of Tammuz and ends on the 9th of the Hebrew month of Av and always falls in the summer. The 9th day of Av, which this year is July 26, is called Tisha B'Av and is the saddest day in the Jewish calendar. It was the day that both Holy Temples were set on fire.?In comparing the deal with Iran to the Munich Agreement between British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and Hitler in 1938, world-renowned lecturer Rabbi Lazer Brody wrote: "Now, 77 years later, during the notorious 'Three Weeks' between the 17th of Tammuz and Tisha B'Av, the USA has reaffirmed its commitment to hedonism by appeasing Iran and signing a nuclear agreement that is not worth the skin of a garlic clove."?In an email dated July 16, 2015 and sent to his "Letter from Jerusalem" subscribers, Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum, Founder and Director of AZAMRA, an international organization that promotes Torah teachings to all nations, echoes Rabbi Brody's thoughts about the timing.?"The carefully choreographed timing of the announcement after so many delays could not have been more significant from the Jewish point of view, given that it fell on July 14 / 27 Tammuz, bang in the middle of the 'Three Weeks' period from the Fast of 17 Tammuz (4 July) until the Fast of Tisha B'Av (26 July), when we soul-searchingly contemplate our collective past, our present and our future destiny," he wrote.?Although the White House is attempting to push the agreement through the United Nations before Congress has had a chance to review the measure, there is another striking connection between the Iran nuclear deal and the Jewish calendar.?Regardless of what happens at the UN, the US Congress has 60 days to review and vote to either ratify or nix the nuclear deal. On the Jewish calendar, 60 days from the day the Iran nuclear deal was signed falls on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Thus, the final decision will likely be announced in the period between the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur known as the Ten Days of Repentance. These are days of judgement for the Jewish people.?Speaking to the confluence of this decision and the Jewish calendar, End of Times author Rabbi Pinchas Winston told Breaking Israel News, "The [Talmud says] that all punishment comes to the world because of the Jewish people. Sometimes it means the Jewish people are not up to snuff, but other times it means that we did not care enough to use our spiritual gifts, such as Torah learning and prayer, to save a situation. When important decisions 'hang in the air' for a time, it is Heaven's way of giving the Jewish people a chance to use those gifts to get history back on track. The fact that the Iran deal was made during the Three Weeks and will be decided on by Rosh Hashanah should make it clear where our responsibility lies. We don't want this 'punishment' to occur and we certainly don't want to be responsible for it."?When questioned further, Rabbi Winston affirmed, "Now we have a chance to interfere with it [the nuclear deal] by praying and doing mitzvos [God's commandments]."?Rabbi Nachman Kahana, an orthodox rabbinic scholar, offers comfort to believers who sense a connection between the Iranian nuclear deal and the End of Days. He cites the Yalkut Shimoni, a 16th century rabbinic commentary on the Bible, which describes the current situation prophetically.?"The Yalkut states that Paras (Persia-Iran) will be the dread of humanity. The world's leaders will be frustrated in their futile efforts to save what they can. The people of Yisrael will also be petrified by the impending danger," he wrote. "And HaShem [God] will say to us, 'Why are you afraid? All of this I have done in order to bring you the awaited redemption. And this redemption will not be like the redemption from Egypt, which was followed by suffering. This redemption will be absolute, followed with peace.'"?Nearing Midnight: Persia, Prophecy, Pulpits and Pews - Terry James - Barack Obama's nuclear nightmare negotiations with Iran is almost assuredly a done deal. It is highly unlikely Congress can over-ride his wishes, or that they even have the belly for it. ?He has that powerful veto pen, you know-and that terrible telephone, about which he has informed us. These are weapons in his hand that apparently are-according to any who might oppose him-as fearsome as ...well, as the possible nukes in the hands of the Persian mullahs he has just assured us we don't have to fear. ?With even the nation's top general-the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff-saying just before the nuclear agreement was announced that under no circumstance can Iran be allowed to have ICBMs with nuclear warheads aboard them, we learn that ICBMs were not mentioned in the agreement as prohibited in any way. ?But, never fear. Inspections will make sure the experts can verify that compliance with the agreement that nukes won't be developed will be followed. But, wait-there are no guarantees in the agreement stipulating that Iran must allow inspectors in at a moment's notice if cheating is suspected. ?It is true that there are dissenting voices. These opinions, for the most part, however, are muted to a large degree by mainstream media, and always presented in a slanted way that takes the watcher of news right back to the fact that the president and Secretary of State John Kerry have really held the Persians feet to the fire. Mr. Obama, it is said by those who cheer him no matter what, is finally showing why he received the Nobel Peace Prize almost at the same time he became president of the United States. Everyone who was truly enlightened knew that the young, articulate, black man (as Joe Biden called him, saying that finally there was such a man to offer as candidate) would quickly earn the prestigious award, so why not just give it to him up front? ?The voice truly crying in the wilderness is marginalized to the point of his being considered irrational even by some of the supposed fair and balanced voices on Fox News. I, for example, heard Shepard Smith agreeing with a pundit-an Obama sycophant-that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in calling Obama's agreement with Iran a terrible thing was just repeating the mantra he has always ranted because he sees most everyone as Israel's detractors. The man added, and Smith didn't disagree, that those who really know the details of the Obama deal with Iran in the Israeli secretive Mossad, think Netanyahu is ignorant of the facts and simply is a contrarian. All of this against Mr. Netanyahu, without a follow up interview with the supposed Israeli clandestine operatives in question. I.e., there was no proof of such criticism within today's Israeli Mossad. ?Israel, like the Arab nations of the region, has not been allowed to have any say in the deal Obama has made with their most deadly adversary, the mullahs of Iran. The Israeli ambassador to the United States said it this way: "In such matters, if you aren't at the table, you are on the menu." ?Some within Congress are making noise that if the details of the agreement just announced doesn't contain guarantees that Iran won't continue working toward a bomb, they will do all within their power to see that it doesn't get final approval. Wanna bet? ?Fact is, most of those in Congress have remained for the most part on the sidelines during all of the negotiations that were basically veiled-as are most things in which this presidential administration engages. They have had their heads in the proverbial sand. ?Even more troubling than our representatives in government being willfully in the dark, however, is Christian leadership being even more so. This is the truly egregious malfeasance that gets to the heart of why such a president can make such a deal with such a diabolist state. ?This is why study of Bible prophecy is not just important, but absolutely critical. The majority of pastors and teachers in churches-and I'm referring to those churches that preach the Gospel and are led by those who are born again believers-deliberately avoid even a cursory mention of prophecy found in God's word. They are willfully ignorant. They keep their parishioners in the pews dumbed down by their neglect. ?Things going on at present involving Israel, Iran and America have prophetic implications-with consequences to follow. One of the most focal regions of the world in Bible prophecy is at the heart of what we have witnessed the past week. Iran, of course, is at the center of ancient Persia. Persia is prophetically scheduled to be in cahoots with Russia during the Gog-Magog attack of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. ?Israel is to be the target of that attack. All of this is shaping in a way that cannot be missed except for those with no spiritual understanding and/or interest in God's foretelling details of the end of human history. ?Pastors and Bible teachers who avoid these things have performed and are performing a disservice that is incalculable in the amount of damage done. The spiritually dark powers are hard at work. They have blinded the eyes of those who are charged with handling America's foreign policy matters. There is a real Prince of Persia, and he is alive and well, and aiding the Persian chess-masters as they completely hornswoggle U.S. negotiators at every move on the nuclear chessboard. ?Pastors and teachers who should know better through a thorough study of their Bibles are like dispensable pawns on that chessboard, as they are useless to warn either our politicians or the people in the pews of their ever more extravagant theaters of worship-entertainment. They refuse to help prepare their flocks for defense against Satan's assaults against Christians and Christianity in these last days. ?While key prophecies for the end of the age-such as the rise of Iran/Persia-are obvious on the horizon, the shepherds in their pulpits turn the minds and spiritual hearts of those in the pews more and more inward, choosing to insulate the flocks, and themselves from the reality that is on the verge of devouring them. ?The Apostle Paul's inspired exhortation should resonate in the spiritual ears of all of God's people as we see that day approaching. ?"But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober." (1 Thes 5: 4-6)Israel to Ashton: Iranian forces mustn't be allowed to dump ISIS on Israeli Golan border - 't-be-allowed-to-dump-ISIS-on-Israeli-Golan-border??Although Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu again appealed to US Congress not to approve the "dream deal" won by Iran, this deal was not his main business with US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter whom he was due to meet Monday, July 20.? Carter himself told reporters that the two countries could "agree to disagree."?Israel's overriding concern at this time, debkafile's military sources report, is about Tehran's possible endgame in fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, i.e. driving ISIS fighters to confront Israeli forces on the Golan and also reach the Jordanian border.?Iran's Revolutionary Guards are in command of the "Popular Mobilization Forces," a collection of pro-Iranian Shiite militias put together to combat ISIS in Iraq. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon will ask Carter if the US has any control over the Iranian command centers in Iraq and Syria, and is in a position to stop Tehran harnessing Hezbollah and Syrian troops to help those militias remove the threat ISIS poses to their allies in Damascus and Baghdad by diverting them to Israel and Jordan.??This peril first raised its head when, straight after the six powers signed the Vienna nuclear deal with Iran on July 14, US security officials, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif declared that the next move was to build a broad coalition for fighting ISIS.?Netanyahu raised this concern with UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, when he arrived in Jerusalem on July 16, two days after the Vienna deal was concluded. Although the Secretary's formal mission was to elucidate the accord to Israel's leaders, his real purpose was to hand him a letter from British Prime Minister David Cameron. In this letter, Cameron explained that his decision to extend RAF bombing missions from Iraq to Syria (depending on parliament's approval in September) had nothing to do with Washington's policies, but was solely motivated by the Islamist threat hanging over British national security.??Britain, he said, was not acting in support of the Syrian-Iranian-Hezbollah lineup against the Islamist group; nor was it part of the Obama administration's turnabout in favor of supporting Syrian President Bashar Assad. British bombers would target ISIS in the UK's own interests.??Netanyahu discussed with Hammond the extent of US coordination with Iran's military steps in Iraq. He said that if this tight partnership spilled over into Syria, Israel might be put willy-nilly in a position of proactive defense. The prime minister informed his British guest, intending the message to reach Washington too, that Israel has no intention of allowing itself to be pushed to the wall by an Iranian-commanded Shiite force prospectively sitting on its border, or by Islamist jihadis driven out of their Syrian strongholds and dumped there.??Saturday, July 7, Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Command, arrived on an unannounced visit to Baghdad. Closeted with US officers and Iraqi political and military officials, Dempsey reviewed the state of the war on ISIS and determined that Iraq does not require additional troops or "advisers" on the ground to assist Iraqi forces to displace the ISIS terrorists.?Clearly, more and more of the onus for fighting the Islamic State is being passed by Washington to Tehran.??Dempsey made a point of discussing the operation to liberate Ramadi which the Islamists captured in mid-May. "The object now is to isolate Ramadi, to deny ISIL the ability to either withdraw or reinforce," he said.?On paper, it is the Iraqi army which is leading this important counter-offensive. On the ground, it is being fought by Iran-led Shiite "Popular Mobilization Forces."?The signal conveyed by Dempsey was read in Israel, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, ahead of the Ashton Carter visit to their capitals this week: Don't expect the Obama administration to back away from its close cooperation with Iran in the struggle against ISIS. This was the direct follow-up to the nuclear deal, regardless of how Iran's empowerment might affect their national security.??The Rapture and the Thief in the Night - Trailer??We must all face the facts and realize that all of us have friends and family members that are going to miss the rapture. It is Superb! For those that don't know much, or anything about Bible Prophecy, this DVD should really open their eyes, a great teaching tool. For those that have grown cold or indifferent in the Lord, this should awaken them." T. Nelson??"The DVD provides an effective mix of biblical teaching and history, interspersed with the happenings in Israel today.? Particularly effective is the emotional ending showing the return of Jewish people worldwide back to Israel and traveling with a sense of destiny.? Many commentators have said Israel is God's hour hand, Jerusalem is the minute hand, and the Temple Mount is the second hand on God's timepiece.? The video is a great introduction and myth-buster for those who do not know of the importance of Israel in God's eyes or who believe Israel has as much significance in today's world as Madagascar or the Canary Islands." - John Wicklund, Chairman Olive Tree Ministries Board of Directors?Got the DVD today and just finished watching it...outstanding!!! The "There will be Tribulation" video describes the purpose and the sequence of events during the final seven years prior to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The linkage to many Old Testament prophecies clearly show the importance of the nation of Israel to this seven-year period. This exchange will likely spark a major regional war in the Middle East, and that could end up plunging the entire planet into chaos.? If Barack Obama was attempting to prevent such a scenario from playing out, he failed miserably.? Personally, I think that the deal that was just made with Iran is absolutely horrible.? Perhaps you disagree.? Perhaps you believe that it is the greatest piece of diplomacy of all time.? But it doesn't really matter what any of us think.? If this deal was going to work, it had to be strong enough to convince Israel that Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons has been completely stopped.? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sworn that he will never, ever let Iran get a nuclear weapon, and he has pledged to use military force if necessary.? So what Barack Obama needed was a deal that would calm Israeli nerves while satisfying the Iranians at the same time.? Such a deal may have theoretically been impossible, but that is what it was going to take to prevent war.? Instead, Obama has made a deal which has utterly horrified the Israeli government.? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even called it "a license to kill".? So now the odds that war will happen have gone way up, but Barack Obama is too busy congratulating himself to notice.?And it isn't just the Israeli government that has responded very negatively to this deal.?One recent survey found that a staggering 74 percent of Israelis do not believe that this deal will prevent the Iranians from developing a nuclear weapon. ?A different survey discovered that 47 percent of Israelis would now support a military strike against Iran and only 35 percent of Israelis are currently against one. ?Of course the Israeli government would very much prefer not to have to bomb Iran.? Before resorting to military action, the Israeli government will certainly try to encourage the U.S. Congress to derail this deal.? And we should probably expect to see more covert action against Iran's nuclear program. ?But in the end, those methods will almost certainly not be enough.? At that point, the Israeli government will have a decision to make, and I think that the following exchange between Netanyahu and Steve Forbes gives us some insight into what Israeli officials are thinking right now... ?***** ?BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: I think if the deal goes through we're in danger of war, and it might be the worst kind of war we can imagine. Because this deal will open the way for Iran not to get a bomb but many bombs. Within a decade it will be free to enrich uranium on an unlimited basis. And it will be able to make the fissile core for dozens of bombs-indeed, hundreds of bombs-which it can then put on the hundreds of ICBMs it already has. ?Under this deal Iran is going to get $100 billion to $300 billion, which it will be able to use to fund its terrorism and its aggression in the region-its aim being to destroy Israel. Given Iran's history of aggression, I'd say that this double bonanza of a guaranteed pathway to a nuclear arsenal and a jackpot of money to continue its aggression actually makes the danger of war, even nuclear war, a lot greater. ?SF: You make a very important point. Even if Iran sticks to the deal, which is highly problematical, in a decade it will be a major global nuclear power, and it will have ballistic missiles. ?BN: Iran is producing them, and guess what?? Within a few years they will be able to reach the Eastern seaboard of the United States. And then every point in the United States. But this deal will also enable Iran to tip those missiles with nuclear weapons, with atomic bombs. And I think it's a huge mistake to allow the foremost sponsor of terrorism in the world, Iran, to have nuclear weapons, as well as the capacity to give such weapons to its terrorist surrogates. This is a big, big mistake. Not only endangering Israel and the entire Middle East but the entire world, specifically the United States.? The mullahs, the dictators in Tehran, they call us the little Satan; they call America the big Satan. You are their ultimate target, and you should not give such a terrorist regime the weapons of mass destruction.? Because I think the greatest danger facing our world is the marriage of militant Islam with nuclear weapons. Here you have a militant Islamic state, Iran, arming itself with nuclear weapons and receiving a huge cash bonanza in the bargain.? That's a mistake. ?***** ?Let there be no misunderstanding - as long as Benjamin Netanyahu is in power the Israeli government will never, ever allow Iran to build nuclear weapons. ?This deal that Barack Obama just made with Iran guarantees the Iranians a path to a nuclear weapon, but the Obama administration is apparently hoping that regime change will happen before that time if they are able to kick the can down the road far enough. ?But the big mistake that almost everyone in the western world is making when analyzing this deal is that they are assuming that the Iranians will actually keep their promises. ?Just like the U.S. government, the Iranians have a very long track record of blatantly lying.? And they were caught lying even in the midst of these recent negotiations. ?The National Council of Resistance of Iran produced evidence that the Iranians were enriching uranium intended for nuclear weapons at a site known as "Lavizan-3" just outside of Tehran.? But even after this information came out, the Iranians and the Obama administration just continued with their negotiations as if this facility did not exist. ?This is how utterly incompetent the Obama administration is.? The Iranians were hiding things and blatantly lying to us before the negotiations were even completed.? And the truth is that it is possible that Iran might already have developed nuclear weapons. ?Let us hope that this is not the case, but if reports about Lavizan-3 are accurate, the Iranian nuclear program may be far more advanced than any of us have been led to believe. ?Sadly, most people in the western world end up believing what they want to believe about Iran instead of what the facts on the ground actually tell us. ?Not too long from now, I believe that we will see some sort of "trigger event" which will motivate the Israeli government to finally conduct a massive military strike against the Iranian nuclear program.? Israel has a history of conducting these kinds of assaults, and the Israeli military has been preparing for just such an attack for a very long time.? The following comes from a recent article by Joel C. Rosenberg... ?Israel has used surprise military force twice to neutralize foreign nuclear programs. In 1981, the Israeli Air Force attacked and destroyed Iraq's nuclear facilities. Then in 2007, the Israelis attacked and destroyed a Syrian nuclear facility being built with the help of the North Koreans. An attack on Iran's facilities would be far more complex, and the possible retaliatory blowback could be horrendous. But yet, the Israelis certainly have the capability to do what they need to do, and they've been preparing for years for that moment. Given Israel's historic track record, it is possible Israeli leaders will come to the point of feeling they have no choice but to launch attacks on Iran.?And just because Iran has made a "deal" with us, the American people should not assume that we have now become "friends" with the Iranian government. ?In fact, the president of Iran recently led a march through the streets of Tehran during which the crowds were chanting "death to America"... ?"Even over the weekend, as Iran continued to receive more and more concessions at the negotiating table, Iranian President Rouhani led a march of hatred in the streets of Tehran in which the masses cried, 'Death to America! Death to Israel!'" Netanyahu said, describing Iran's recent "Al Quds (Jerusalem) Day" in an address to the Knesset Monday.?What a horrible thing to want.? Even though I am very pro-Israel, I would never wish death to Iran.? The Iranian people work hard, they take care of their families, and most of them want peace. ?Unfortunately, Iran is run by a cadre of radical Islamic nut jobs that are obsessed with wiping the nation of Israel off the face of the planet. ?For a long time, Israel and Iran have been on a collision course, and now time is running out. ?War is coming to the Middle East, and it is going to be absolutely horrifying.?The Kurds Are Rising - By Daymond Duck - ??The great seminary professor and Bible prophecy scholar Dr. Charles H. Dyer said, "Most events prophesied in the book of Isaiah came true during the prophet's lifetime... But the events concerning Babylon described in the thirteenth and fourteenth chapters of Isaiah were not fulfilled in Isaiah's lifetime. They have never been fulfilled (The Rise of Babylon, p.162).?In chapter 13, Isaiah was prophesying about Babylon (Isa. 13:1) when he said, "the day of the Lord is near" (Isa.13:6), "the day of the Lord cometh," (Isa. 13:9) and he talked about "the day of his fierce anger" (Isa.13:13). The prophecies in this chapter begin when the Tribulation period is near and they continue on into the seven-year time of trouble.?When these prophecies are fulfilled God said, "I will punish the world for its evil" (Isa. 13:11). He will do that during the Tribulation period (Zeph. 1:14-16; 2:8; Dan. 12:1; Rev.6-19).?Notice that God said He "will stir up the Medes (not the Medes and Persians) against them" (Isa. 13:17). Babylon "will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah" (Isa. 13:19). Babylon will "never be inhabited" from generation to generation (Isa. 13:20). And satyrs (demons) shall dance there (Isa. 13:21-22).?The Medes and Persians didn't destroy Babylon by fire and a few people live there today so every jot and tittle of this prophecy hasn't been fulfilled.?But Babylon will be destroyed by fire, it will become desolate and it will become the home of demons during the Tribulation period. All of that is prophesied in the book of Revelation (Rev.18:2, 8, 10, 19). They are events that will take place just before the Second Coming of Jesus.?There is more evidence of a future fulfillment. Gentiles will help the Jews return to the Promised Land. Gentiles will serve the Jews. Gentiles will be ruled by the Jews. Israel will have peace (Isa.14:1-3). ?The world hates Israel today and Israel doesn't have peace. But Israel will have peace after the Jews accept Jesus.?Isaiah reveals more coming events, but it is important to note that this future destruction of Babylon will be brought about by the Medes (not the Medes and Persians). Who are the Medes? Dr. Dyer said, "They have been fighting the countries of Turkey, Iran and Iraq in an attempt to establish their own independent country of Kurdistan" (p.173). The Medes are the Kurds.?About one hundred years later, Jeremiah prophesied against Babylon (Jer. 50-51). Many commentators apply his message to the Old Testament attack on Babylon by the Medes and Persians. There are similarities, but there are also differences. There is even reason to believe that Isaiah 13-14, Jeremiah chapters 50-51 and Revelation chapters 17-18 are all about the same thing. And few people doubt that Revelation chapters 17-18 are about the future.?Here is a partial list of similarities:? ?1) Isaiah chapters 13-14 will be fulfilled close to and during the Tribulation period and Jeremiah chapters 50-51 will be fulfilled about the time that Israel gets saved (Isa. 6:6, 9, 11, 13; Jer. 50:4, 20). ?2) A multi-nation attack on Babylon is mentioned in Isaiah chapter 13 and also in Jeremiah chapter 50 (Isa. 13:1-6; Jer. 50:9, 41-42).?3) A later attack by the Medes (Kurds) in mentioned in Isaiah chapter 13 and also in Jeremiah chapter 51 (Isa. 13:17; Jer. 51:11-12, 28).?4) People are told to flee out of Babylon in Jeremiah chapter 51 and in Revelation chapter 18 (Jer. 51:6; Rev. 18:4).? ?5) Messengers announce the fall of Babylon in Jeremiah chapter 51 and also in Revelation chapter 18 (Jer. 51:31; Rev. 18:2). ?6) Jeremiah chapter 51 says Babylon dwells upon many waters and is abundant in treasures and Revelation chapter 17 says the Harlot sits upon many waters and is very rich (Jer. 51:13; Rev. 17:1-4).? ?7) Jeremiah chapter 51 and Revelation chapter 18 both say Babylon has made the nations drunk on wine (Jer. 51:7; Rev. 18:3).?There is more, but here is a big difference: When Babylon is finally destroyed the walls will be torn down (Jer. 50:15; 51:58). The Medes and Persians diverted the Euphrates River and went under the walls. They didn't tear them down.?This is the point: The fall of Babylon to the Medes and Persians may have fulfilled part of Isaiah 13-14 and Jeremiah 50-51, but it didn't fulfill all of it. There is more to come and the Kurds (Medes) will play a major role. ?In fact, it has already started. The failure of Iraq and Syria has increased the hopes of the Kurds for their own nation. They are the only group that has fought the Islamic State to a standstill. The U.S. has not given them the weapons they want, but they will get more weapons and the U.S. is giving them air cover. ?In Jan. 2015, the Kurds defeated the Islamic State forces in a four-month battle for Kobani. In May 2015, the Kurds captured about 220 towns and villages that the Islamic State had taken in Syria. In early June 2015, a Kurdish supported party won several seats in the elections in Turkey. In mid-June 2015, the Kurds seized an extremely important Islamic State border crossing and supply route from Turkey.? ?In late June 2015, the Kurds captured an important military base that the Islamic State has held since 2014 and they were only about 35 miles from the Islamic State's headquarters in Syria. In early July, they took more than 10 more villages from the Islamic State in Syria.?Some say there is not enough time for Babylon to be rebuilt, but the God who spoke the world into existence in six days doesn't need decades to rebuild Babylon. When He says something will happen it will happen.?It looks like the Rapture can happen any day, but we don't know when. There appears to be a gap between the Rapture and the Tribulation period, but we don't know how long that gap is. Much work can be done in a short period of time.?Rebuilt Babylon doesn't have to be a big city like New York (and the Bible calls it a city not a nation). Ancient Babylon was just 14 miles on each side and much of that was farm land. Some think global trade can be controlled from just a few buildings with super-computers. Also, the False Prophet won't need a lot of buildings. Whatever is there will burn in one hour. ?Just know that the Kurds (Medes) will destroy the city of Babylon at the end of the Tribulation period and they are rising now. Pres. Obama says it will take ten years to defeat the Islamic State, but God can bring them down in one night (especially if they don't leave Israel alone). Their defeat and the rise of Babylon could be sooner than many think.?Prophecy Plus MinistriesDaymond & Rachel Duck?daymond.duck@ ??Daily Jot: Prophetic Meets Pathetic--shock over Muslim slayings - Bill Wilson - ??Much of the American public, the news media and its politicians are shocked over the murder of five people, including four Marines by Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez. Mohammad was not from the impoverished. He was from an upper middle class family. He was not an uneducated person. He was an engineer. By all accounts, he did not fit the reasoning of Islamic apologists for his actions--being poor and uneducated and felling a sense of disenfranchisement. Until America suspends its disbelief, these incidents will continue until they grow into full scale insurgency. Islam's history and present day actions are proof positive. Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazees is the precursor for Islam in America. ?His grieving parents issued a statement cited by NPR radio saying, "There are no words to describe our shock, horror and grief. The person who committed this horrible crime was not the son we knew and loved. For many years, our son suffered from depression. It grieves us beyond belief to know that his pain found its expression in this heinous act of violence." Certainly, Mohammad experienced depression. He was indoctrinated by a devout Muslim family on the death cult that at least the last two American presidents have tried to convince America is a peaceful "religion." He had no light in his soul. He had only the conflicting writings of the Koran and its interpretation by Imams as his dark, soulless guide.?The Muslim Brotherhood issued a plan in 1991 to take over North America and to destroy its "miserable house" from within. The plan called for a massive media campaign, the use of America's civil rights laws, colonization, establishment of Islamic Centers and societies, and the ultimate unification of all diverse Muslims in the US either by indoctrination or by force to overthrow our society through a "grand civilization jihad." If a Muslim believes the Koran, that person is susceptible to the plan. Islam is a tyrannical political system disguised as a religion using the right of religious freedom to conquer our free society. It is pathetic that much of America cannot see the prophetically obvious. ?Islam is come to America to do as Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazees left as his last quote from the Koran: "Whosoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine, then I have declared war against him." Think about it. All the named nations and people groups prophesied to come against the people of God in the Day of the Lord are today Islamic. Currently, Islam is the largest purveyor of slave trafficking in the world. It is known for its brutality against women and children; its hatred of Christians and Jews. While we should show individual Muslims the love of Christ that no one should be lost to eternal damnation, the Islamic system is an enemy to all that is good. As Christ said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." ????Daily Devotion: What Coveting Is-and Isn't - Greg Laurie - ??"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's." -Exodus 20:17?"You shall not covet" is probably one of the most misunderstood of the Ten Commandments. Coveting isn't simply desiring something. Nor is it simply admiring something that we don't have. To covet is to become devoured by desire for something. And many times, it's something that isn't yours to have.?The word for covet is also translated "to pant after." Think of a wolf that has gotten a taste for blood and is out there pursuing his prey, panting after it. That wolf will not rest until he catches his prey, kills it, and eats it.?That is what coveting is. How does it work? You become obsessed with something. First the eyes look at the object, the mind admires it, and the will goes over to it. Lastly, the body moves in to possess it. One thing leads to another.?Judas Iscariot effectively threw his life away for thirty pieces of silver when he betrayed the Lord. We are told in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." That verse is often quoted as "Money is the root of all evil," but the Bible says no such thing. The love of money is the root of all kinds evil. It doesn't mean that it's bad to want some money. But it becomes a problem when we covet, or pant after, it.?Some people covet throughout their lives. They become obsessed with certain things and will make any sacrifice to get what they want. It may be a person. It may be an object. It may be a position. Whatever it takes, they are determined to get it. And it can destroy them.??FROM THE HEART??IF YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED THROUGH THIS MINISTRY, THEN WE ASK THAT YOU WOULD PLEASE REMEMBER PROPHECY UPDATE IN YOUR GIVING - WE ARE TRULY,?TRULY,?THANKFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT??Prophecy Update has no corporate sponsors.
