8. Part of a SANE’s job is to interface with the court system, how do you feel about that? ___________
9. It is a National Standard that a Victim be assessed for pregnancy risk as a result of the Sexual
Assault. If the risk is present, a SANE will offer them Emergency Contraception. If you have
exceptions to offering this option for treatment, please let us know. Although we do not expect you
to physically hand the medication to a Victim, (We can ask an ER Nurse to do that), we do
expect you to be able to discuss this option with the patient without bias
