2. Meet with a study abroad advisor or the UNCP School of Business, Director of International Affairs

3. Apply at UNC Pembroke IP Office and online at the Magellan website, selecting your top three destinations

4. Apply for or have a current passport, as well as other travel documents

5. While waiting for your acceptance, check for any financial assistance and also begin planning your travel

6. Once accepted, meet with your academic advisor to select courses for your graduation requirements

7. Travel, discover, learn, and have fun!

UNCP and the Magellan Exchange program offer students the ability to have an affordable educational and cultural experience at member institutions abroad

The UNCP campus is in Pembroke NC, but your classroom can be the world!

The language of study for your main courses is English at the host university

Select the institutions for Study Abroad with your academic advisor without disrupting a timely graduation at UNCP

General study, major courses, and electives are fully credited by UNCP and will extend the breadth and depth of your academic preparation and curriculum

An orientation program on the host culture and language, as well as the university and local region is typically available on your arrival

Students continue their normal UNCP tuition and fees, simply transfer the course credits earned from your study abroad as if you had not left campus

Living and other expenses vary among locations, but may be less expensive than staying on campus in Pembroke

Scholarships and stipends may be available for qualified individuals.
